The course has to be a joke. She doesn't know how to give valuable lessons. I could have learned what I was taught on Google. She is also VERY rude. Beware if you are an honest student and questions things. She doesn't seem to have a knack for respect. She has been unorganized since day one. Like forgetting to UNLOCK the classroom door.

This has been thee worst class I have ever taken. This professor is extremely unorganized and I wish that I read more reviews here on her. If you want an easy class, take it but beware that she doesn't explain herself well. By the way, if you are a 5 College student, you will be held to a higher standard/treated poorly. Please go back to school.

The course was, for the most part, interesting, and it wasn't too difficult. The hardest part was probably the position paper, which even then, wasn't too hard. Other than that, her TAs do most of the grading. She's pretty down-to-earth, and her explanations are very modern, with comparisons that make sense.

Worst teacher I have ever had. She makes horrible comments to students on assignments and is overall a terrible professor. I would strongly advise anyone taking a class with her.

Course itself is a good one. Instructor isn't best suited to teach it although very knowledgeable. What should be easy class content becomes tedious/ambiguous. Students are an afterthought re structure of course content/pace of assignments. No real review for exams/rare use of rubrics. TAs integral to student success. Take PS383 for policy instead.

Hands down the worst teacher/professor I had. She sustained an injury prior to the start of the semester that may have affected her abilities. But, there is no reason for me to try to find excuses for her. She was misleading, confusing and annoying. She also makes snarky comments.

Terrible professor does not give clear answers and is not helpful. Does not answer questions appears to not know the answers. Everything you need is from the readings she does not teach in lecture and her slides are not helpful. avoid if you can

Good class, not the best professor though. I didn't like how we did a whole unit on Clinton's failed health care reform. Then she taught us really vague examples of health care reform possibilities. Shes a little too liberal for my taste. The TA edward was probably the best one i've ever had, and i've had a lot. Oh yeah, brendas hot.

I took a 1 credit class with her. WORST TEACHER. I mean, she's really into her work, but if she doesn't like you, you'll know it...and that will affect your grade. Book was $100+ and hardly used. AVOID BRENDA. Heels on linoleum made us flinch by the end of her class.

Hands down the worst class and worst teacher I've had in college. Completely ridiculous grading. Expected to know useless details not covered in class and barely covered in readings. As a Teacher, Very unhelpful and does not take feedback on class well. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST! Completely killed my interest in Urban Government and issues.

You get out of her course what you put into it. There is a lot of reading, and you need to develop your own political theories to do well on the tests. She is very open to students of various opinions voicing their views when the time is appropriate. The course is good for students who have an interest in public policy.

Never take this class! a lot of reading, a lot of boring group work, dont even try to contact her b/c she will send you a rude remark back when you ask for help! long class, boring, some topics are pretty interesting but for some reason she tends to make them completely unbearable! horrible...

Give her what she wants specifically. If you talk to her outside of class she'll practically dictate the assignments for you. Micromanager. That being said, once you figure her out, she's at least bearable.
