Very energetic guy. Gives possible exam questions ahead of time. Go to every lecture & pay attention. Answers're there. If you meet good TA, it's easy A. It's important to participate in discussion. I didn't participate much & brought me down to B from A. 2 essays for each exam. 3 novels to read.

religious myths and rituals with smith was one of my favorite experiences at ucr. he is a funny fairminded man who doesn't make any overt jabs at any single religion, but rather all of them. i learned a lot about other religions and about tolerance.
