I'm currently taking his INQ 120 class, and I enjoy it. He gives the class insightful plays and passages to read with discussion in class. He also gives plenty of time to read and think about the works. He also like to round down at Midterm so students won't get lazy, since I got a C for midterm, then that means I have a B in his class.

If you're willing to put in the work/ read, Dr. P will give you a lot to think about and discuss. I've taken 3 classes with him and he never fails to entertain and provoke good conversation. His reading lists are always incredible, nothing boring or unnecessary. If you come to him with a valid problem, he will do his best to fix it.

Dr. Partin comes across as a very intimidating man. I didn't like to speak up much for discussions because I was afraid he would tell me I was wrong or make me feel dumb in front of the class. There is a lot of reading and writing for this class.

Partin is brilliant. His symp. class on To Kill a Mockingbird inspired me to go to law school. Beautiful reading list (Ibsen, Shaw, etc). People who label him as a jerk or too demanding, then please don't consider law school where the nicest teachers are 20 times more likely to not cherish and massage your precious and undeserving ego/feelings.

Dr. P. is an excellent Professor. Strict but fair. I loved the discussions where he challenges you. Do your homework so you know what you talk about, think before you speak. Highly recommended for people that are willing to work hard in order to gain tons of knowledge.

Scary at first, but don't be too intimidated. Dr. P wants students to think before they speak and stand behind what they say. He will challenge your opinions to make you think harder, but he really does want you to speak up. I learned a ton and had to work hard, but it was well worth the effort. I now know how to effectively analyze plays.

Daily quizzes are crazy easy if you do the reading. It's supposed to be discussion based, but a lot of students are afraid to talk because he often makes you look stupid. He knows what he's talking about though and it's usually easy to pay attention. Don't yawn, wear a hat, or let your phone go off in this class!!!

Dr. Partin is an AMAZING teacher. He comes off as tough when you first meet him, but if you pay attention in class you can warm up to him! I loved having him and ended up taking three classes of his. Dont yawn in his class or wear a hat. Hes a great teacher definitely take his class!! Easy if you do the readings. He cares so much bout what he does.

Partin is definitely a hardass but he is a super smart guy and is really passionate about his teachings. Had him for Senior Symposium, just do your readings for quizzes and show up to class and you will do fine. Also, don't eat, sleep, or talk to much or you will get called out.
