Honestly amazing. I had him for "the Bible and Modern Moral Issues" and I absolutely loved his class. He made the class really interesting (I learned so much) and let the class guide the discussion. His midterm was somewhat difficult but all the reflection papers, term paper, and take home final ended up evening it all out. Take him if you can!

Buz is the cutest and sweetest professor. He can make any subject interesting and is so helpful when grading papers. His class is pretty easy too - the research paper was a bit long but other than that it's a breeze.

Buz Myers is the best. He is so easy to talk to and is very respected throughout the Gettysburg College community. I am so fortunate to have gotten placed in his FYS. It is a lot of writing in the class, which can be overwhelming at some times but you just have to work on time management. He truly cares about his students and is the best professor!

Buz is by far my favorite professor at Gettysburg. He genuinely cares about all his students and wants them to do well. As long as you pay attention in class, you should do fine on the tests and make sure to actually read the books for the papers. He told all of us that we would want to change our majors to Religion by the end of his course.. I did

This class presents modern moral issues and what the Bible has to say on the matter. It shows how the Bible is not black and white on most issues presented in the class. Lectures are sometimes repetitive but that's only if the material is really important. The test are all short answer and essays. Amazing class taught by an amazing professor.

You can really tell that Buz truly loves what he is teaching. The test are all short answer and essay which are very detailed. If you take detailed notes and know what he says in class you'll do great. The reading helps you understand the material better but you can get all you need to know from class. This is the reason I became a religion major

Plus side, counts as a first year writing course, there were no tests, and it's easy to do well on the papers (there are about 8) as long as you proofread. Down side, very repetitive boring guy. Class almost always runs over. I had him as my advisor as well and once he figured out I knew what I wanted to major in (not religion) he had no interest.

Took this as an elective in my major. Harder than some of the other Religious Studies classes I've taken - the tests are pretty tough and there aren't many other grades. He's a likable guy (except he always repeats himself/ends class late) and definitely knows what he's talking about. If you're interested in the topic definitely take him!

Awesome teacher and a great guy. There will be a lot of papers in this class, but it is well worth it. I look forward to taking more classes with him in the future. Must take at least one class with him in your time at Gettysburg

I took his Bible & Modern Moral Issues class and it was the best course I've ever taken. He's also my advisor and works so much to help all of his students, regardless of questions or majors. Great professor and extremely enjoyable class. I looked forward to every class

Best seminar! Lots of papers, 6 mini papers, one interview paper and one 15 page thesis (NO TESTS)! But totally worth it! Lots of really fun field trips too!

A really interesting class. He is really nice, but the guest speakers he has come in and trips you go on make the class. The coolest day is when the spirit medium visits. You read a lot of books in the class, but they're pretty light reading. It's also writing intensive, but he isn't a hard greater. You'll miss the class once it's over!

Buz is great! I can not say one bad thing about Buz or any of his classes! As long as you put the effort in you will be rewarded! This man is why Gettysburg costs what it does. You need to take a class with him before you graduate. He made me want to switch from a Econ major to a Religion major.

Before I took this class I always thought about death. Now that this class is over, I have a whole new outlook on life. The class is amazing, Buz is amazing, and the field trips and presentations are amazing. This class and how well Buz taught it made me want to become a religion major. I honestly believe there is no better seminar than this one.

Amazing Professor! Probably the best in the religion department. Take at least one class with him before you graduate, he is really worth the money your parents pay.
