Really loves his job & loves his students. Shows interest in student success & is available for outside consultation. Bailey LOVES criminal procedure & that shows in his lectures, class is very easy to go to because he makes you interested in what you are learning. Final you are allowed a "Cheat Sheet" Life Blood to an A & remembers Participators

Dresses to the T! Took Professor Bailey for Crim Pro and thought he was a great professor. Teaches for practice rather than just the final exam and bar exam, despite the "Final Exam, Bar Exam" phrase he always repeats. Every topic is given a practical example and or fact pattern, which was very helpful. However, for evidence I recommend Judges!

He is not straight forward at all. If he just told you what you needed to know, the class would be fine. He is hands down one of the coolest professors I have ever had. However, I would take the class with someone else.

Bailey knows a lot about his subject, but his structure is scatterbrained at best. He gives helpful tips surrounded by poor explanation and context. You will learn more about Evidence from yourself than you will from Professor Bailey.

Comment:
Bailey is pompous and does not actually teach this class. He had few sessions then turned the real teaching over to the adjuncts. Some adjuncts are good; others are not. What you learn depends on whether you get a good adjunct. Grading is completely arbitrary, like beauty pagent arbitrary (and I got a good grade).

Great sense of humor, and incredibly nice guy, tends to teach in circles sometimes and some people think he's confusing because he moves around a lot but he hits everything multiple times. Loves questions and very nice outside of class. I had him for Ev., Crim Pro and Trial Ad though he isn't really the teacher for Trial Ad. Lawyers teach it

Was fine in Criminal Procedure. Laid it out real clear. But incomprehensible in Evidence. Gave up half way through semester, taught it to myself. Some days I had no idea what rule we were even on. Does not call on you but gets frustrated when nobody is willing to give him something, likes to have people talk to him rather than call on people.

Great prof if you do not expect spoonfeeding. Requires participation to really understand material. Class is sometimes confused; but those who prepare diligently should enjoy class.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Will never take another class from him. Class is unorganized and everyone is always clueless as to what we are supposed to be reading/discussing. Taught myself Evidence and Trial Ad (aside from help from my Judge who was great!). Probably the some of the most frustrating classes to attend.

Class will start with 15 minutes of "review" and 15 minutes of a "preview." During this time feel free not to listen too much. The meat of the subject comes after this. Lecture will be unorganized and you will be called on. Please figure out what the envelopes at the front of the class mean, as he will not tell you.

Exam multiple choice questions were the most confusing thing I have encountered in law school. Be an ambassador and do every assignment during the semester for which bonus credit is given as that seems to be what differentiates grades.

He is a great teacher. If you participate and read then you will be fine. Don't expect to be spoonfed in his class or any other law class for that matter. Prof. Bailey has a wonderful sense of humor as well.

Not an easy professor, but he tries to help students as much as he can. Go see him outside of class with questions, fill out his question sheets, and participate in class. He loves handouts, which are actually helpful (Q&A from the question sheets). Allows a 1-page (front/back) cheat-sheet for the final. Know the law and and you'll get a C.

The WORST professor at the Law School. He's TERRIBLE! Never explains anything--is constantly vague and ambiguous. Avoid at all costs.

Bailey is easy, just don't expect an A/A- unless you're one of his favorites. He is very subjective, and reserves a significant portion of the class points for dispersion at his discretion. ****? Probably just someone with a bad experience, but I wouldn't put it past him to decide grades like that. If you're interested in crim pro, take Judges

How good of a teacher is he? Let me put it this way: I had him 20 years ago, and I STILL remember the class. Is he easy? Hell no (guys, this IS Law School!)! And I remember he was great outside class as well. A real class act: Five Stars, Two Thumbs Up, and a "You da dawg!"

He's a nice guy but not the greatest professor. He's extremely disorganized. He constantly poses questions but never gets around to discussing them (or half the cases he assings). Very heavy reading.

If you are a white male do not take the class. Please do not remove this because in is not libleous. Most comments made by white males in the class are scorned by this professor. Grading in law school is supposed to be aynamous but he reserves a large portion of the grade for class participation, that is to his discretion, so gives what he wants
