I am currently taking GWST 480 with Dr. McCann. She is brilliant, and knows almost everything, except how to spell. I see how people would see her as close-minded or second wave, but I would combat these notionsand argue that she is attempting to help the class understand the theories in the framework of the author's meaning. Must go to class.

She is incredibly knowledgeable for someone so close minded. Attending her lectures was similar to pulling teeth. She can be enlightening, however she has no patience for students who disagree with second wave b.s., students who disagree with aurhors of assigned readings. Basically, keep your head down, and ignore the blatant hypocrisy of class.

I don't recommend taking a class with her unless you are a GWST major, minor, or certificate. She is one of the most brilliant women I have met but very closed minded. If you don't agree with her, I don't recommend voicing your opinion in class. I found her to be an easy grader, as long as you give her what she wants. Stuck in 2nd wave feminism.

Absolutely closed minded and does not even attempt to connect with the students. Will not accept information from other fields such as psychology or sociology. Is one of the worst teachers I have had and I even go to class every day.

Dr. McCann is one of the smartest professors I've ever had the pleasure of taking a class with. Getting an A on a paper in her class is not impossible, you just have to work a little bit, but makes you feel really, really good.
