Unless you are really interested in the environment and geography I would try to skip this class. Carole is a fine professor but it's very easy to fall asleep in her 8 a.m. class. Long, uninteresting lectures make up the main portion of class then an easy worksheet after. Easy A, but make sure you get enough sleep the night before.

Incredibly interesting lady, and thankfully has been around the globe enough to know what she's talking about. Despite the 8 AM class and optional attendance, everyone showed up every time. Actually cares what you have to say, and your major project is entirely up to you and all assignments really aren't too hard, but do make you actually think.

She is a nice lady, but she really emphasizes how amazing she is at being a naturalist. She criticized me to my face that I drive to school in the mornings. I like out in Falcon, no way in hell am I riding my bike for an 8 am. A lot of people like her, but she was incredibly rude to me.

Carole Huber is one of the most amazing professors I've had at UCCS. She is so caring and kind. She is very understanding. Also, she makes the class so much fun. There are map quizzes each week, but its nothing too hard. She does give a few assignments, but again nothing too hard. Her feedback was always great. I would definitely recommend her! :)

Easiest class I have ever taken, show up to class and you will be rewarded! lectures are fun, interesting and short! Most the points are participation in class, you don't even have to take exams, as long as you show up! Will be taking her again.

I knew nothing about geography before class & I really learned a lot! Her lectures are intriguing & keep you interested. There's map quizzes about every week, & little assessments throughout the semester. She's very clear about what she expects & she's an easy grader. I didn't buy the book or take notes & I got an A. Unique attendance policy.

She's a really nice leading the class is pretty interesting. I'm a business major so I didn't have any interest in the subject, but nonetheless her class was kinda fun. You should pick her if you like to play geography games and have an interest in the worlds cultures. She gives you a lot of options

Very fun and engaging professor. Assignments and projects were fun, interesting, and most of all got you really thinking about the subject material. I walked away from a class I had little interest in going in, feeling like I had a whole new view of the world.

Great teacher. She will inspire you to see the world in a new way. She has a very obvious point of view but she makes an effort to be fair to everyone. Grading is flexible and attendance isn't mandatory, however if you show up you have xtra credit chances and are probably more likely to get an A.

I love Carol! She's such a caring and compassionate teacher.. She leads a very green lifestyle but is open minded and doesn't judge students on their way of life. Her class was really fun, I hope I get a chance to take another one she teaches soon

I usually do pretty well in online courses but this one was tougher than usual. She also created test questions about trivial things that didn't matter and weren't even in the textbook. It became very annoying since I was studying important things, not trivial things.

It was a fun and easy class. Carol is a good teacher who loves what she does. My only real problem with her is that she has a very strong set of opinions on certain subjects (race/gender) and if you don't see eye to eye with her opinions, you will definitely get a ear full. Just pretend that you agree with everything she says and you will get an A.

Very easy class! teacher is fun and knows her stuff. There are no final exams. She gives quizzes every week and some work sheets as well as take home exams. All these are easy and do not require much work. Dont buy the book, you wont REALLY need it. it could help but its not at all necessary. Easy A if you go to class. I recommend taking her.
