Pete is a great professor! I had him for creative writing and he was very passionate about the subject. Students had free-range over their assignments and he really encourages creativity. He really wants to be involved with his students in class discussions and his class was a pleasant experience overall.

Pete was a great professor. He cares about his students and always asks what you've been up to recently. His class is very discussion-based, and he asks what you think about the reading assignments. He's open-minded and understanding His discussions are engaging and hilarious. Would definitely recommend him!

I took HONR 201, 202, and 203 with Pete, and I'd love to be able to take another course with him. The class is comprised of readings, 8 quizzes, eight 2-page reflections, class discussions, and a final project. Pete truly cares about you - as a student and as a person in general. He is super funny, laid back, and respectful. 100% would recommend

Best teacher I had at Ball State. He is hilarious and insightful. I would take more classes with him if I could. Also his assignments aren't difficult at all if you are a good student. (I have no sympathy for people that complain about a class they put zero effort into.)

I was nervous about Peter because I had a bad experience with another professor, and bc I'm not a strong reader. After the first day of class, I felt a lot better. The class time is very discussion based, and you NEED to read the assignment, as you have 8 quizzes that he will give out randomly throughout the semester. Easy to talk to. I recommend!

Pete is a quirky, goofy dude. He makes an effort to get to know you and help you get to know him. Controversial issues may be brought up in class, and he's super respectful and insightful about everybody's opinion, which makes class fun. Class content was interesting and there was rarely homework, only one quiz and no tests besides midterm/final.

Took him for Honors 201 & 202. Do the readings and participate in class discussions and you'll get an A. No tests. Every two weeks you write a reflection (personal thoughts) on whatever topic you want to, as long as it pertains to the class somehow, someway. Easiest A's of my college career.

Took ENG 308 and ENG 405 (Songwriting) with him Spring Semester 2011. He used the same book for both classes. Pete is a funny guy and tells great stories throughout the class. He really helped me learn and work on my poetry/songwriting. His tests are pretty easy. If you do the assignments then you can easily get an A. Definitely my fav prof at BSU.

I loved this class sooo much. He is a great teacher, and sooo funny. He is very creative and I loved the in class discussions. I never wanted to skip his class even in the rain and cold just becuase he's such an uplifting and interesting person. He has so much to offer. I would love to take another class with him again.
