Gothic Cathedrals was hands-down one of the best classes I ever took at Duke, period. I'm no medievalist/art historian/architect but was ready to become all three by the end of her class. She's retiring after next year (2017) so don't miss out on the chance to let her change your life!!!

Brilliant and enthusiastic, Dr. Bruzelius is the most incredible professor I have encountered at Duke. She is the nation's leading authority on medieval architecture, but she is very grounded and hilarious. Her Gothic Cathedrals course is informative and enriching. What more could you possibly want?

Prof. Bruzelius is amazing. She is extremely smart and well-prepared in lecture. Keeps class entertaining with good humor and anecdotes. Usually very articulate, though sometimes she gets flustered and makes weird mistakes that can get annoying (like confusing endoskeleton and exoskeleton).

Amazing professor - if you have any questions about gothic architecture, this is the lady to talk to! She has an amazing sense of humor and it truly inspiring. Even if you don't intend to major in art his, her cathedrals class is one of the best classes you can take at Duke - an expert in her field!
