Her exam structure is consistent, so it's easy to find study habits that work best for you. She gives study guides for open response questions before the exam. Write out your answer like you would on the test and memorize it to get an A. She is very enthusiastic about the material and knows a lot!

All of her tests are essay tests. 2 essay questions/ 4 short answer questions per test. She does give study guides, so you know what to study for. She will give 3 tests through out the semester. If you take all of them then the final is optional. She will only count your 3 highest scores. She gives extra credit. Overall , a great teacher.

I loved HIS109 with Ms. Wright. She is very passionate about history and when she lectures, she makes everything easy to understand. All her tests are essay tests. She gives study guides and if you TAKE THE TIME to do them and STUDY, you should pass this class. Attendance is big for her. She also gives extra credit! :) She is an AMAZING teacher.

She is nice, but very flighty. I am an A student, but received a B. Her tests are straight vocabulary. For some reason I would make C's on her quizzes and then B's on my midterm and final. I was studying the same way? She does get off topic a lot. And a bit annoying. If there was two teachers to pick from I would say pick the other at all cost.

I absolutely love Mrs. Wright. She is extremely passionate about history and you know she loves to teach. I have taken three of her classes and if I weren't graduating, I would take more. You have nightly reading assignments but as long as you really do the reading, you should do well in her class. Exams aren't that hard if you pay attention.

I absolutely love this prof, hands down one my favorites. Unfortunately I am a science major, but history is my passion and she has passion. This was an easy A, just show up to class and listen to her lectures. No papers, homework is small reading assignments and her exams are short answer/essay. But super easy if you study the review.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. She throws a lot of information at you throughout the course of a semister but she does it in a way that you can understand it. She gives you the questions before tests but it is still a lot of information to go over. She is very passionate about her subject and i will take her for another class if I can.

She's very sweet and passionate about what she does, yet I hated this course. The class is large and because Professor Wright doesn't have command of the class, we get off-topic for 15 minutes at a time by students who ramble about whatever comes to mind - Big Foot, wiccans, working at a pet store. It's like a Saturday Night Live skit.

She makes the class very interesting! You can tell she loves her job. This class is overall an easy A. There isn't too much homework and you only have around three tests which she gives you the answers to prior before taking the test! Can't get any better

She is an awesome teacher! Knows a lot about what she teaches and does her best to make it interesting. She goes out of her way to help students and make sure they have a clear understanding of the material. A little quirky at times but she's extremely nice!

She is the best teacher at Southwest. She is also a great person outside of class, her caring extends to students lives outside of history. Readings are not over abundant but tests are purely essay. Taking good notes and being in class is a must. Loved her class

Professor Wright is a great professor and is one of the greatest professors on the JCC campus!! She teaches all different history courses and is the greatest at her job. I took her History 1-4 class, not because it was required but because of how good she is at teaching... Take Her she is the greatest!!
