Greiner is a great teacher, very fair grader and an interesting, genuine man. He does make you memorize the first 18 lines of The Caunterbury Tales and a sonnet in order to pass the class. This is easier than it sounds. The class practices every day, which makes it easy as long as you participate. The critiques help as long as your class isn't lazy

He makes you memorize two works. The first 18 lines of chaucers Canterbury tales in middle english and a sonnet.If you dont, you get no course credit.Which i think is insane.He has you write 2 papers and 3 poems and anytime you ask him a question about grammar he sends you to the writing center. You critique old students papers. not a fun class.

This guy seems extremely tough at first, but he's actually really not. As long as you do all your stuff on time, it's a very easy class. Only 3 papers... compared to a lot of other ENG 101 professors who give a paper a week, this is very good. He's also extremely funny and just a good natured man. I learned a lot from his class.

Griener is older and he seems a little scary at first like he is going to be hard but get throught the first couple of days and you will be happy...he is funny, interesting and as long as you do good on your research project that is mandatory then you will pass...and ou hav to show up to class

this man truly loves what he does and you can tell by the way he takes the time to make sure that everybody in his class knows what they are doing. 2 essays and he gives manyyyyy examples of what the essays should look like. definately take a class with him. he is just a wonderful man, and you wont want to miss a class

WONDERFUL PROFESSOR! I enjoyed this class beyond belief. He really opens your eyes to life, not just english. A wonderful, passionate and caring man. You can tell he loves what he does and it comes across in each and every day you sit in his class. I would take every class he has to offer :0)

If you are taking english or CN 43 this is Professor you want. Older, distiguished and surprisingly hilarious. He is hip to todays issues, but doesnt preach. You get to know him as a talented writer and professor, but also as a phuman being, which is the best part. He doesn't sugar coat anything, but is sweet watermelon on a hot summer day. Enjoy !

Professor Greiner was an extraordinary and well spoken individual with an open mind. It hurts me that I had to leave the class halfway through the year due to certain circumstances, I hope to have him again someday. Highly recommended.
