There is a quiz every week containing 5 questions from the chapter previously covered. The homework is very lengthy but allows multiple attempts and for my class all assignments were not due until last day of semester. The exams are fair if you understand content and he will curve. His accent is not bad, or at least not nearly as bad as other profs

I did well in math and precalc in high school and I understood most of the material he taught. However he does rush into it and assigns the exam immediately. Not very fond of him. If you can try to get another professor, esp if math isn't your forte. Other than that, do the hw problems, study hard, and ask questions.

Great professor.. teaches his class very clearly. attendance not mandatory and doesnt check hw. there are no take home exams all exams are taking in class. He curves if he sees students are struggling. Must study and there's a review and the review is just like the exam nothing hiding.

Does Basic Calc the easiest way possible. Very nice and helpful. You HAVE TO DO THE HOMEWORK, EXAMS ARE VERY SIMILAR, NO SURPRISES. YOU HAVE TO STUDY HARD! KNOWS HIS STUFF NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. SOME EXAMS ARE TAKE HOME, BUT THIS DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO GET A 70 ON FINAL TO PASS THE CLASS, SO DONT SLACK OFF OR U WONT CATCH UP!!

Good teacher, he explains everything well. Tests are kind of hard but he curves at the end. You have to apply what you learn, and he goes over things until everyone understands. Makes the class easier if ppl are struggling, 2nd exam-take home, last 2 exams open book. He makes jokes to keep ppl entertained and usually let us out early

Professor Patel is an excellent teacher. He does a great job going over anything you don't understand, all you have to do is ask. Make sure you keep good notes and do all of his assignments. He gives word problems on his test,so make sure you pay attention to the ones he gives in class. Overall I really enjoyed this class, even if it was at 8:30am!

He teaches math. If you stink at math you shouldn't take him because you probably have the mindset that math stinks and you refuse to take the time to learn it. He will stop the class to go over something two times. He's always cracking a corny joke here and there so it keeps you awake. If you enjoy math take him because you will learn A LOT.

This prof. is SO BORING!! I also had him at 8:30 in the morning on tuesday, thursday, friday and never went. I still did really well though. He teachers STRAIGHT from the book, so I never saw the need to go to class. He has three exams, and he curves the grades if the class did poorly. We'll see what happens about my attendence effecting my grade.

I took his class last summer. It was really hard for me, but I am not a math person. I failed the first test, but ended up with a C. I had to study A LOT!!! He's not too bad,but he's not great. Taking this class in such a short amount of time made it harder.
