This class is really easy, granted, I'm just filling my survey requirement. She is a condescending and pushes her self righteousness on everyone. She knows her stuff though, and has a lot of interesting text books. She's your average Hartwick professor.

Comment:

Profanity won't do enough justice to describe her. Her attitude is placed somewhere between Condescending and Fascist. Her class is primarily homework driven, yet she has the audacity to call herself a teacher. She's a favoritist, and makes no effort to hide it. My interest in history was tested under her regime.

Professor Lacy is a very tough but fair teacher. Although there is no homework for the course she still demands papers listed in the class syllabus. Despite rumors of her being **** and unfair towards certain students i have found her to be very fair to all her students and willing to recheck any work that has been overlooked.

Willing to bend over backwards to help certain students and then will turn around and deny that same help to another one. For example one student asks for an extension on a paper with no justification and she says sure. Another asks to revisit a unclear grade that was given, and she says no.

Probably one of the worst professors to ever "teach". She puts up a powerpoint every single day with paragraphs of text on it and expects you to copy it all down when she may as well just print it out and hand it to you. Her grading style is extremely unfair and she has clear biases against certain students for completely unclear reasons.

Knows her stuff, I'll grant that but she is very narrow minded in her views on everything. If you don't agree then you are flat out wrong. Also has the reputation of 'hating men' which I can't say is totaly unfounded. Take her only if you have to, otherwise go anywhere else for a history credit.

What can i say, shes tough! She was my thesis advisor but was always willing to help if asked. My thesis turned out well even with a rough start and i owe her so much because of it! She is not the type to hold your hand through it and looking back im glad she didnt. Shes a great professor, passionate about her area of study and i am lucky to have worked with her!

I've taken 3 courses with her and though she does know her stuff, her classes tend to be really really boring. She's usually good about getting back to emails and if you need help she tends to be good on giving it as well.

took three classes with her. she's HORRIBLE. at first i thought it was just the topic that made the first class boring, but ALL her classes are dreadful. She teaches at high school level and talks about irrelevant stuff. She is also extremely moody and if you don't hold her poli. views she's mean.
