Multiple reading and writing assignments a week, as expected. His writing styleinterests don't mesh with mine, so I found the class dull and uninspiring. He's good for technical, formulaic fiction writing. He always gives a lot of feedback on your writing, though, so it's easy to write what he wants to see and get an A.

I will not take any more classes with this professor. I am not impressed with his populist approach to teaching. Chambers is ambiguous and not very organized.

Chambers is an excellent creative writing teacher with a wealth of knowledge and experience about how to make it as a writer. He doesn't pull any punches with his critiques of your work, which may be frustrating for some students, but it's all for the benefit of your improvement. Very respectful and kind towards his students. Invaluble mentor.

He's awesome! This term, there were so many interns there weren't always enough jobs to go around, but I read plenty of good stories, learned to proofread properly, attended a neat book fair, and ran around postmarking things, which was fun. Professor Chambers is very nice; I also took one of his other courses, and I highly recommend him! :)

Chris is one of my favorites in the English dept. He's a really good writer and a decent teacher (sometimes he's so laid back that it's a little boring but he means well). He's kind and helpful and, ultimately, I could only get so bored looking at his oh-so-ruggedly-handsome face.

One of my favorites. Very nurturing and encouraging of experimentation. Also a great writer. Tends to take a while to return work, but always makes comments and is available for conferences.

Chris Chambers is a way laid back instructor. He's good at what he does, and seems to know what he's doing and talking about, which is a good feeling to have. He's really nice, and a great instructor. He's also the Chair of the Reader's Response.
