Good teacher...is very upbeat and has a lot of energy...likes her job and is willing to help you if you ask for it...i would recomend her...she knows her stuff! You MUST go to class she takes off major points if you dont!

Dr. Combs is an outstanding teacher, one of the best spanish teachers i've ever had. She is a very hard grader, however and attendance is mandatory. She is very nice and willing to help whenever. She's the head of the department, so get in her good graces.

I had Sra. Combs after a semester of 325 with a native Spanish speaker. She's nice, but I didn't get as much out of the class as I did with my previous prof (now retired). Also, one of my friends went to her office for help one time and was told to ask someone else in the class. Not cool! She may be better for intro-level classes.

She is very helpful and explains everything thoroughly if you don't understand it. There is not a lot of assigned homework, all you have to do is keep up with the reading. The tests are also very reasonable. If you get the chance, definitely take this professor!

Dra. Combs is an excllent teacher. She is so organized, so it makes it easy to follow. Plus, she really focuses on doing hands-on work with partners, instead of just lecturing. So you get a lot of practice in the language.

I gree with other posts, easy and clear to understand and prepares you well for exams so long as you go to class which you can only miss three for the year and after that you are penalized. Very effective.
