Classes are random and does not really teach any material to you. Exams are very hard because the material is never taught. Pop up quizzes once every week and does not prepare you well for exams or quizzes. Takes attendance every day even though she does not say she is. She does offer extra credit assignments at the end of the semester.

She is the worst professor i have had at Iowa state. We spend at lest 30 minutes of a 50 minute class discussing random, not relevant things. Don't take her she is horrible! She does know her stuff but she is not good at teaching it to students.

Very good teacher, very easy to work with .Has a bad wrap on here but it's unwarranted. She has definitely improved as a professor and it shows that she is actively taking advice from students to improve.

She knows DBMS pretty well. I feel its one of her areas of strength. its up-to you to extract as much as you want from her classes. Try to meet her regularly to get into her good books. you will benefit eventually :)

She has got a good experience in writing research papers and also she has done a lot of research work which you can easily find out by looking at her profile. She has given really useful feedback and made us read different research papers of different topics and gave us a good opportunity to explore out own research interests. She is friendly too.

Not sure about previous semesters, but this one was ridiculously easy. Exams were 95% word for word copied from the book's online quizzes and we got to use a cheat sheet. Assignments were all group based, so quite easy to do. Project was kind of vague, but doable. I agree she has little insight of her own, but the class it not that bad.

She seems like she knows a lot, but never answer ANY question from students.There was one occasion where she just stands there for about a couple of minutes b'coz no one helped her answering the question...until one of us helped her out. Never prepare her own ppt slide.She used the ones from the book without providing much further info. AVOID HER!!

Worst prof I've ever had. There was no direction to the class and it was hard to tell what was expected of us. We only had a final exam but it was over stuff hardly covered during the first part of the semester (everybody failed the exam). Try to avoid her if possible!

Absolutely do NOT take any class from her. Terrible teacher, the worst I have seen in college. I needed the class, and the only reason I got a B+ was because I had learned everything she taught before. She had to curve everything.

Terrible teacher. The worst teacher at ISU. Can't understand anything she says. Is not good at getting her point across. Doesn't care about students - she didn't learn anyones name throughout the semester. Avoid at all costs.

It might be hard to stay awake in her class, but if you manage to listen to her lecture and do in-class exercises, you have NO worries AT ALL. She explains everything that was taught in MIS 432 in just two lectures in a simple and concise and clear way.

Some of us are absolutely sure that she knows what she is talking about, we just arent sure if she is a great teacher. she could do rdbms in her head, but falling asleep after 5 minutes of lecture because its so dry doesnt help.
