Dr. Clemans is so great! He's knowledgable and passionate about the subject he's teaching, which definitely shows in his lectures. He genuinely wants every student to understand the content and do well. Be sure to do the readings; they're basically necessary in order to understand the powerpoints or recorded lectures.

Dr. Clemans is a great professor who tries many different things to help you learn. He lectures in podcast form and uses kahoot to assess your knowledge. He is always willing to help outside of class and even gives extra credit if you visit during office hours. Take his course if given the choice!

Dr. Clemans cares about his students and is more than willing to set up an appointment with you if his office hours conflict with your schedule. The best thing about this class is that he curves the exams scores on a C curve. He provides study guides for all the chapters, and those are very helpful.

Uses online podcast as lecture. Does not go over much inside class. You take kahoot quizzes to grade your knowledge. If you don't understand the podcasts, he doest go over anything in class unless you ask.

He is a very nice man, and wants his students to succeed. Saying that, he is a very hard professor. Tests are brutal, small things from lectures are on the test. Definitely need to read the text book to pass. If you need help he is always willing to go out of his way. The mastering Genetics, if you get 74% you get the 2 points, anything less, 0%.

Dr Clemans doesn't follow the usual route of going from the front of the book to the back, in fact, he does it backwards. The hardest stuff is covered in the first 2 tests and then they get easier from there. His lectures are very information rich and hard to retain. If you do indeed need help, go to him for it. He wants you to do well.

He gives boring lectures but he is a good guy and very approachable. He gives surprise in-class assignments so go to class but attendance is not required. His tests online are easy, but he includes some case studies, so make sure you understand the info. The information itself is very easy to understand, but there is quite a bit of memorization.

Nice person. Not a great teacher. I didn't learn anything in his classes. His lectures were based off his slides. We didn't have any tests and grading was based on how much he liked the student. Grades were based on presentations and the way he graded it seemed like he gave higher marks to his favorites.

Well, I didn't learn anything from his class. I'm not sure what the curriculum was. In both classes that I have taken with him 400 level bacteriology classes....he pretty much lectured but then there was nothing that used out of the lecture. It didn't feel like a real class. He is a very nice person...however I can't ever tell what he is thinking.

Powerpoints were all over the place, extremely lengthy, and repetitive yet still managed to not give the material he tested on! I found it hard to focus on the correct things for tests due to his poor lectures! He's a very nice person, but skipped half of the material @ end- the material i would have actually found applicable to my major!

Lectures 100% off dated powerpoint. Doesn't tell you what to study for exams, or what to focus on! Some of my exams were straight from the lecture, and others were the complete opposite and directly from the book (i.e. tests on things he doesn't cover). Barely curves exams. Changes the schedule all the time, and omits many chapters!!

Does a 100% PowerPoint presentation. Doesn't understand all of the material he's supposed to be teaching. Gives you the answers to the exame because his teaching ability is lacking and everyones grades would suffer otherwise. Not hard to get an A in the class but if you want to learn new things you'll have to read the book.

I had Dr. Clemans for a one credit csie lab and it was an amazing class. I can't say how he is as a prof for more vigorous classes but for this lab he was incredibly laid back and fun! He really enjoys microbiology and it made the class really great!

This prof is pretty easy for genetics. Takes questions from the practice test and gives you all the answers to the practice test.
