Loved Copeland. He was super interesting, had a great attitude, and was really funny. Plus, I learned a lot from him. Capstone with him is really easy because his classes are totally discussion based (with the exception of maybe 2). He's also really flexible and understanding with assignments.

Copeland was and still is one of the best professors I've ever had at Elon. He assigns a good deal of readings, papersprojects, and exams, but none of it was overwhelming; he just genuinely wants you to leave the class knowing your stuff. His lectures were never boring, but just be prepared for lot's of jokes and sarcasm (nothing caustic).

Dr. Copeland is a gem in the Elon Communication department. Seriously, take a class with this professor. I had him for both Media History and Capstone, and he is an awesome educator. Very knowledgable, approachable and even fun! Several friends and I shared a meal or coffee with him on campus multiple times while we took his class, and even after!

This is a 200 level class, and he makes it seem like a 3-400 level..4 page papers every week, so much reading, tests are hard...Nice guy though, very smart too. But still would not take him again for a lower level class.

Had Copeland for Med. History and couldn't get enough of him so I took him for senior sem. He's one funniest and nicest guys I know. Not too much of a workload for sen. sem. which is nice, and he gives great advice on portfolio/resume things.

Seriously my favorite teacher at Elon. He's so funny and has a passion for teaching and journalism. I wasn't looking forward to taking Media History but he made it so interesting and I loved the class. TAKE HIM!!

I LOVE HIM!! He is truly the best professor I've had at Elon. He is so nice and truly cares about his students doing well. There is a lot of work to do, but he is not a very difficult grader. He will run up to you from across the building just to see how your day is. Definitely take him!!

I have had Dr. Copeland for two classes at Elon and he is the best professor I have ever had. All you have to do is google him and you will see how much Elon students love him. My entire class actually enjoys coming to class, we miss it when we don't have it! Love Dr. Copeland!

Copeland is the best teacher I've EVER had. I loved going to his class and even enjoyed doing the work. He is hysterical, and doesn't give work that we won't learn A LOT from. A few big papers and projects, lots of readings expected for the tests, but it's worth it!

My favorite professor! I signed up for his other class just because I liked media history so much. He's very clear about assignments and gives you chances to pull up your grade. His classes are entertaining, but you still learn so much. I highly recommend him!

Best professor I have ever had at Elon! Will run down the hall if he sees you to ask how your day is going. Although the subject wasn't always exciting, he was entertaining and made the class enjoyable. Sometimes his assignments are unclear, but if you ask he will clarify. Not a tough grader. Always willing to help, even for other classes!
