Great professor, difficult class. Study his powerpoints and only write down what he tells you to. Exam q's are straight off the slides but you really have to study every detail and make sure you understand. Holds review sessions, always willing to help, exams are very difficult. Great professor!

Fantastic professor! As a senior I can say, Dr. Howard has been one of the best professors I've had on campus! His classes are not an easy "A" by any means, but you will learn so much from this man. He puts a lot of work into his lectures and power-points, and it shows. In my opinion, he is a prime example of what a professor should be.

Dr. Howard is excellent. Keeps lecture interesting and his powerpoints are very good. Put the time in to study and do his exam reviews and you should do just fine. Incredibly helpful professor. No reason to get a bad grade.

I'm a senior and can honestly say Dr. Howard is one of the best professors that I've had. He's humble, funny, and extremely good at what he does. Great lecturer, as he breaks things down in ways that's easy to digest. Awesome professor!!!

PHENOMENAL!He requires critical thinking from his students,which means he gives you things to memorize of course,but then he presents you with a situation you haven't encountered before, expecting you to apply what you've learned. These types of questions are certainly difficult, but they separate those who've memorized from those who understand.

The best professor I've ever had. The material is a challenge, but works so hard to help everyone understand. He's a teacher, not just a lecturer. The only bad thing about calss in general: it used to be writing emph, so there's a TON of work to do w/ your lab group. Pick a good group on the fist day!

Dr. Howard is the best teacher that I have had at UW-L. He is a creative and interesting teacher who really wants his students to learn. He will pretty much do anything, including standing on his head, to help you remember/understand material. While the class was not always easy, it would have been a lot worse without such a great prof.

Howard is a good teacher and is very kind and understanding. He likes to have fun while he's teaching and keep the students involved. The only difficult thing is sometimes he goes off on tangents which makes note taking a little tricky. Overall he is a good teacher.

Awesome teacher. Unique personality. Fun. Makes difficult material easier to understand. Class is not easy, but just go to lecture/lab, ask questions, (which he is very willing to help out with inside/outside of class) and STUDY. He really wants to help and see all his students succeed. I learned so much from this class with him.
