This guy was so boring. Everyone left during his lectures and his labs really sucked. He makes you go on hikes and you have a Walden Log that you have to go to a nature spot and take pictures every week then write about it. If you want an easy A this isnt the class to take.

Dr. Stern is a very good professor. He opened my eyes up to a whole host of things I didn't know I was interetd in. His Walden journals are a great tool for getting people connected with nature. Don't slack, do the work and learn ALOT.

dr. stern is horrible. he is very unclear w/ what he wants. too many notes to print from BB. a quiz every monday and half the questions arent in ur notes. exams are ridiculous.for lab he makes u go ourside rain, shine or snow, he dont care difficult and horrible teacher DONT TAKE!

Well lets see if you are ready to be bored to death during lecture then this is the class. All powerpoint and puts on BB which you think is helpful until you take his quiz which is every Monday and its HARD... Tests are also very hard.. Don't take!!!

HE IS SOOOOOOOOOO DIFFICULT! He gives quizzes every monday...too many notes...each week about 80 pages to print from powerpoint!...first day of class-the first final exam...three tests and a final plus 10 quizzes for the whole semester
