Comment:
Prof Debnath is one of the nicest profs ive had at Oakland. His lectures are interesting for the most part and you can tell he loves teaching. Attendance isnt mandatory, but the exams come straight from the notes; study the notes and you will do fine. He is a lenient grader and will give extensions if you ask. Book is highly recommended and good.

gives good examples during his lectures that help you to better understand the material, his exams are simple, his assignments are given clear directions and he is a lenient grader. The only thing I will say is that you better not get caught using your phone/computer for anything not related to class because he will walk right up to you in class

Debnath is a good choice for a CSI course. He tries his best to make lectures enjoyable by telling jokes. He hates grading so it sometimes takes a bit for him to get grades back. Overall he was a good prof and I with Oakland had more prof like him. I learned a lot from his class.

Professor Debnath is alright. His lecture are simple, funny, and straight forward. He won't overload you with unnecessary work. Personality wise, he's okay, though there are times where he appears like he is angry during lecture and office hours. Overall, it's easy to get an A. I got lazy and ended with a B+. Just be disciplined.

Dr. Debnath is a really nice guy and makes this class easy to do well in. He grades very generously and really cares for the students. If you go to lecture the class the exams are fairly easy. He gave two projects and three homework assignments which he grades very easily. Would definitely take him again. Would recommend him to anyone.

Professor Debnath is a very easy going professor and makes concepts easier by relating them to real life concepts. Your grade is based off two exams, a group project and a non-group project so make sure you do well on them. Lectures are long but entertaining and he even lets you leave early often. This class was fantastic take him!

Correct is his favorite word, This teacher is good teacher and he knows his material very well. I wouldn't take him again because his lectures are long. His exam's are written poorly. He's a nice guy. I noticed something doesn't say much when girls are around him. GOOD LUCK to whomever need to take him.......

A very good and entertaining professor. His lectures mainly consist of him going over the book and covering the things you need to know. He does not use Moodle so don't expect any content there. He tells you clearly what you need to know before each test (in my case there were only 2). Don't procrastinate on the projects, they are rather long.

I love Professor Debnath. His tests are mainly from his own lectures (does not use a slideshow), but read the book for your own reference as well. Very good at explaining the material. If you have prior knowledge this class is easy, IF NOT, ASK questions and read the book as well. His lectures can be long (Fri @ 8AM) and he says "correct" a lot.

Okay, 1) Don't take him as an 8am. You will be fighting to stay awake. 2) Really nice guy and he means well, hilarious in fact. He goes slow and re-explains concepts SEVERAL times over. Great guy though and really cares about you understanding. Tests are vague but he's an easier grader if you know what you're writing about and not BS-ing.

Two 5 question short answer style exams with a MC final. The final is brutal as its only 30 questions and they are written poorly. Written exams are good as you write everything you know about the question/topic. If you don’t know your material however you will not be able to BS these questions. Torrent the book if you want it, its not needed!

He lectures from his own notes and jots a few key words on the blackboard which is a great teaching style! He does not use PowerPoints but rather lectures on his own. Very easy going and easy to get along with. Hates it when students are late and has a weird rule about this. Hates Microsoft, loves Liiiinux and loves low power PC’s. Awesome class!

There is a bit of a language barrier as certain words he says are often not understood such as “switch” is said as Swiss, volt is said as bolt, register is said as resistor just to name a few. He does write the word on the board however. HW you get credit for if you just do it! It is interesting as well on researching computer parts & building one.

Very passionate w/ deep interest in material. Lightens the mood with jokes. Truly see he cares about his students and he goes out of his way to insure everyone is grasping the material and is available outside of class for those that may require additional assistance. 15% HW, 15% partner term paper/presentation, 20% exam 1, 20% exam 2, 30% final.
