This woman put her reputation on the line when nearly everyone in the graduate department couldn't care less about helping students. Warm, engaging, professional and extremely gracious. She's an asset to UF and if not for already having a great dean in John Wright, she would be a perfect choice for the department head.

Treise was amazing. Although campaigns pretty much ruled my life that whole semester, i felt comfortable meeting with her, i even looked forward to it at times. She has a great sense of humor and I found her very helpful and knowledgeable.

Debbie is fantastic! She is so helpful and available. Her class is well balanced with lecture, class discussion and activity. The research paper is due in sections so you have the opportunity to get help and feedback throughout the process. The paper is a lot of work, but you will leave the class with a solid understanding of science/health comm.

Debbie Treise is a liar and as others here have commented, she often appears confused and unclear as to what she is saying. As someone with great power over graduate student admissions, I found her to tell me one thing and then reverse herself completely the next, without explanation. She does what is in HER own best interest. Pick another j-school

Very nice but don't let that fool you. Very indecisive and unclear on what she wants. She sometimes is more confused than the student. Tends to favor students. Unfair and catty. It is a shame that she is creatively inept for such a creative class. Opt for another professor and avoid at all costs.

I liked her a lot b4 taking campaigns, she is extremely unclear, changes her mind about your project, and judges based on favorability, worse teacher I've had in ADV, so glad she wasn't my first, I would have changed my major

I had Debbie for a graduate seminar & as my advisor. Great, funny lady with tons of energy. Will do whatever she can to help you but does expect you to put forth good effort. I enjoyed class with her immensely, likes to stimulate debate.
