Not very easy to get ahold of, but the tests were easy and the class was decent. The videos and lectures took a while to watch though. Wouldn't take this class as an online class again.

I went into this class with some misgivings. And I came out completely fine. She gives long lectures, but it is college. She has a weird sense of humor and while she does talk about random things, they usually relate at the end to something we're learning. There aren't many tests, but you do have to study for them.

So I don't understand all the hate from all the people below me. She is a good teacher with long lectures (normal college). Take notes and study them and you'll do amazing on tests and quizzes! She has a weird personality which is totally fine but. Make sure you take extra credit opportunities they are what gave me an A! Would take again.

She doesn't come across as the most organized person and often is very unclear in her answers if you ask her something. She is very rude to you if she doesn't like what you are asking or saying.

Overall the class is interesting, the two field trips to a near by outcrop and cougar mountain were most fun. The tests are pretty hard initially, but after the first one she atleast tends to recycle a lot of questions. Final is long, 100 questions but lots recycled. Too much memorization, doesn't like when students skip.

Comment:

Needed a lab for my degree so I took this. Tests are hard but the final is all old test questions and you can just study the answers since you have copies of the old tests and the scantrons. I formed a study group with other classmates and we did an extra credit trip together so I ended up doing well. She gave us Krispy kremes on the last day!

Ms Minium is very unorganized, often unprepared, and goes off on odd tangents that have nothing to do with class material. She is abrupt and often makes funseeks out to embarrass people who don't know the answer. She makes it clear on day 1 she doesn't care about you. She has a very awkward sense of humor and gets mad when no one laughs.

Very abrupt teacher. Only speak up in class if you know the answer- if you do, kudos, if not, she'll humiliate you. She's super passionate about the material and a great resource considering she's worked in the field. Am taking more of her classes now!

A good professor at BC. She's well aware that geology can be boring for most students so she occasionally makes a couple jokes. Just pay attention to the topics she emphasizes in her lectures because they will be on the test. Read the book as well. Overall, I recommend her.

Terrible teacher. Monotone and boring. Her whole class couldn't retain what she was saying, therefore doing bad on tests. Eventually she curved the grade and started taking attendance to up everyones grade. I am a straight a student and have NEVER received a failing grade. I attended every class, did every assignment, and she still failed me

I'm not a fan of science, but I looked forward to her class every day! She is very clear and you know 100% what she wants. Also, she's super understanding that things come up. I got swine flu half way through the quarter and she gave me the points for the missed lab. I love her as a prof and HIGHLY recommend her!

She is an awesome teacher!She told us what our quizzes our on,pages that we needed to read,draws for everything to be understanding,watched youtube,let us do some extra credits.Class is not so hard,most of my class passed easily.
