Comment:

A lot of work but this class teaches you so much. Lecture tests are long but as long as you study everyday you should be fine. 4 lecture exams 3 lab practicals a quiz every class period with extra credit in all of these. Honestly there shouldnt be a reason to not pass unless you are lazy but other than that easy A if you work hard!

Definitely recommend this professor! The class was straight to the point. Lots of extra credit opportunities are provided, I recommend you take them. If you do what you are suppose to do, you will certainly pass:study, show up to class everyday, do the crossword puzzles, complete your labs! Exams are fair, all testing material is provided to you.

Micro is the toughest class Ive ever taken but Durham makes it doable. DO THE CROSSWORDS. She will answer any and all questions you have and is accessible outside of class.

My favorite teacher if all time! Made Micro interesting and easy to understand. Very real person and fun. Highly recommend I am working as a CNA while in nursing school and a nurse that I work with gave me a big high five when I told her was my Micro and favorite teacher. She said YES. She really liked her too.

Quiz before starting lecture over the lab we preciously did the class before. 12 questions quizzes, includes a bonus question. Drops lowest 3 quizzes. 3 lec exams, 3 lab practicals, 1 lecture final and optional lab practical. Grade for your lec final can substitute your lowest lec exam grade. She's a good instructor. She tries to teach the material to your understanding. I think she's laid back. She knows her stuff. Tests are easy if you study well. She gives good test reviews. Also fairly easy if you do not study. I made an 82 on one of her tests that I didn't study for. Very fair grader. Take her, you will learn and also do well.

This class is hard no matter what you do. The professor is ok. She is clear with what she expects, good extra credit. Do it. Be prepared. Study your notes, and you'll learn a lot of interesting things. This class was parallel with my pharmacology online class. The proff does not deserve this rating. The class does lol An A is possible. Good luck

This class is very challenging. I would recommend not taking with another science (I did it successfully but I also wanted to pull my hair out for 15 weeks). All that being said, I learned more from this course than any other BIOL class I've taken. The material is also extremely RELEVANT if you are planning on going into the medical field.

Class is very challenging. You will need to dedicate a lot of time studying, and memorizing. If you missed class, you will get behind in lecture notes. Professor is great, and humorous. Microbiology is very detailing and full of information. Lecture and lab tests are more than 100 questions. Lab tests are written answer not multiple choice.

She is obviously very knowledgable on the subject. Her lectures go along with power points that go along with the packet required (in lieu of textbook) to purchase for the class. The exams are tough simply due to the huge amount of info presented for each unit. I would NOT take this in summer, but it is a solid class and you will learn tons.

Micro is challenging and at first I was intimated by the reviews but if you put in the work you will get a good grade!! The textbook is not needed and ALL exams and practical is from the material given and purchased!! DON'T SLACK or SKIP CLASS because you have to fill out your notes from the PowerPoint.

She's very clear on her assignments . She's willing to help if needed. You will have quizzes and labs every class period. Her exams are hard and her work load is very heavy. Extra credit assignments are hard and whatever grade you earned that's the grade you'll get. She does not curve grades.

I worked part time and only took Physics along with the class. My home girl warned me. STUDY STUDY and then STUDY some more. You will eat breathe and sleep this class. And she's the best professor of Microbiology. The tests are long and hard. She is hard. Take this course my itself. Do not take this course with another hard one. I'm repeating it.

This class makes you work hard, and it's all worth the while. As long as you are keeping up with your reading and studying of the notes, you are going to be great. You'll learn so much, if you study the material. Study well and keep it up, and you'll will be happy that you accomplished something through hard work.

Dr. Durham is my favorite professor of all time. This class was the hardest one I've ever taken. However, I feel like I learned more in Micro than in any other class in college. DO NOT miss a day or you won't be able to catch up. Study your notes after each class. Make flash cards. ASK QUESTIONS! She'll answer anything to the best of her ablity.

you need to be as disciplined as possible for her class. since i took her in the summer we had a quiz everyday. Her notes are clear and straight to the point . she's easy to talk to and is there to help whenever you need it. you have to study everyday or you wont pass.
