ROUGH! Teaches his way (book teaches differently). Felt I had to relearn with the book, and teach myself via Youtube. Seems the majority of the class felt demoralized after tests. Gives pop quizzes, but you can use your notes to complete them. He won't be returning, but I wouldn't take him again if he were available... I loathe math even more now!!

Comment:

Nice person, but if you are not already gifted in math you have to make the choice to either spend lots of time studying on your own or failing. He'll answer your questions, but you have to make an effort to speak up if anything is unclear.

He is a very nice professor will help you if you just ask for it, typically emails right away unless he tells you otherwise in class, he gives a lot of examples and teaches class in a rather quick fashion. The test are rather difficult, but passable if you just follow the test review even though the reviews are always a lot easier then the test.

He goes over the material very quickly in his lectures, and often times by the time i wrote everything down he has already started the next question. His tests are not impossible, but they are difficult. I would not take him again unless he was my only option.

I thought Dunbar was a good teacher but the tests were never like the homework he gave. only three people in my class of 27 passed. I emailed him after the exam because if i had gotten a 95 I would have gotten an A but he never responded to me. Overall I would not take him

Dunbar is, on average, about eight to ten minutes LATE to class every single day. He "examples" you to death. We will go over an example that teaches the same concept several times. Then, when it comes to the test, it has nothing to do with the examples and is much harder. I generally liked math and was good at it until I had him.

I took Stats 1 and Pre-Calculus with Dunbar during the same semester, he's definitely better at teaching statistics than precalculus but is still decent at precalculus. He will definitely help you in any way he can if you make an effort to go ask him questions during office hours, he's military so he likes to see his students actually try.

He's really nice but I wished he graded homework because I would like to know some feedback and it would be great for some points. Statistics is super hard and his tests can be brutal. If you're a diva in math, go for it. If you stuck in math so hard, don't. It's suicide.

Good teacher. You can use book or my math lab. Lots of homework and doesn't always ask for it. Counts an overall participation grade, tests and final. Has a dry sense of humor, and can come off as condescending if you're thin skinned. No freebies in this class. Work hard and study! Tests harder than review practice tests! I'm a math idiot got a B.

One of my favorite professors! Explains things clearly in a way where it's easy to understand. Assigns homework almost every class, but if you do the problems, the tests should be easy. He only makes you do odd problems, so you can check your work.

If you like a teacher who talks down to you when you ask a question, gets offended when you ask for clarification, or stands in front of the class and basically calls everyone stupid, then this is the class for you. If you take this class, get a tutor. He is better suited for teaching grad students. He thinks everyone should be as smart as him.

This guy sucks so badly, i was lucky to pass with a B just from my prior knowledge of the subject. He never stays on subject during class and then makes it seem that its the classes fault for not knowing the subject matter. I really is his lack of teaching skill that caused this to be such a terrible class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

By far the worst math professor I've ever had. I did the work religiously, I was a straight A student until this class. Asked a question and was told, "If you don't know that by now, I can't help you." I missed one day of class and was unable to ever catch up. I would strongly recommend another prof. if you are not GREAT at Algebra.
