do NOT take this teacher ONLINE!!! I don't think he truly understands the work load he puts on his students. Ive been in college for several years now and this is the FIRST class ive ever had to drop. his tests are super long questions and super long multiple choice. by time you get done reading them minutes have already passed. hes very hard!!!

From reading the ratings he seems like a good teacher in class but online is gonna kill you. I've NEVER seen questions these hard in my life. I understand he wants us to learn but I'm sorry, you have to MEMORIZE the textbook in order to pass. He only gives 90 minutes on the tests and it's impossible.

I don't understand where people are getting these good reviews from! He is HORRIBLE!!! He adds random assignments that are due the same week. Expects too much out of a five week distance course. I have a 4.0 and this in my only class. He sets you up for failure.

Awesome teacher! I got an A and hardly studied. He doesn't give too much homework and hardly uses the book. He gets off task occasionaly but he's pretty interesting. I would recommend Mr. Emmons 100%!Q

Emmons was really nice and funny. Made government almost interesting. Like most professors, he does not like chatter, but if, like in my class, the whole class got into random conversations, he would usually pitch in his opinion too. Emmons did require a 4 page essay, but it was super easy and made a really good grade. Highly recommend!! :)

This teacher was helpful & good at responding to emails. However, he does require a lot of work to be done. I took him for an online class. If you do check in regularly as he will just post a new question out the blue on the day they are due. He gives you a second chance on the 1st paper due but no more after that. Just be on top of your work.

I'm currently taking him online for an 8 wk course for 02 and he is awesome! Very understanding and responds to emails quickly. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a B, but only because of personal reasons, if not then I def would've got an A. As long as you actually read, then you should make an A. Take him!!

He is honestly the worst teacher, ever. Took him online, and had to drop him. A student who has a 4.0 shouldn't be making 60s on a GOVT test. You have a 75 minute test to answer 60 questions. If you have a photographic memory, then perhaps this is the professor for you, if you don't... well find a better professor.

emmons is great. he is always willing to spend extra time on a subject to make sure u understand. GET THE BOOK he gives notes in class which you MUST TAKE but also alot of what he does comes from the book. he tells great stories also--fun and informative sums it up. take him!! easy A if your willing to put forth a lil effort

I took him as well because of the ratings. You practically have to either already know government or be able to remember everything you read in book! His test are VERY DIFFICULT Beware. He also give you 75min to complete 60questions. BEWARE TEST ARE DIFFICULT! ALSO REQ TO WRITE 3 PAPERS DURING SEMESTER, 2 PAGES LONG! WARINGING, THINK TWICE!!!

After reading his reviews on here, I took him in an 8 week mini online. His tests are INSANE. Seriously, you have to memorize every detail in the chapters to pass. I never figured out a good way to study. Outlines & practice tests do not help WHATSOEVER. Maybe he's awesome in class but DO NOT TAKE ONLINE! (5 tests, 5 discussion boards & 3 essays)

Great Teacher! Took him online for Govt. 1302 - a test for 2-3 chapters straight from the book, 3 paper assignments - only 1-2 pages in length and a discussion for each week. Gives you extra time to complete if you cant within the deadline. Very understanding.

He's a genuinely great professor! Everything that was on the test came from the notes, he gives reviews and they helped a lot! He's pretty funny and can tell some good jokes along with great stories that relate to GOV'T! I'm so going to take his class again for 2302! His handwriting can be sloppy at times though. ;) just sit in the front.

He is great. I had him for a 9:30 class and was late almost every day and he didn't seem to care. But as for what he teaches...its pretty simple just study the notes he gives you and you'll do well on the test. He's also very nice and funny. I hate everything goverment but he made it interesting
