He's the rudest teacher I have ever had. Talks to you like you are stupid all the time. Can't ask questions because he yells are you in class. Email him questions he responds really rudely and doesn't answer your question. He is so rude it is unbelievable. It's a guessing game as to what you need to have completed for the next class.

I'm an AP English scholar award recipient and Lizotte is one of the hardest teachers I've had. He's torn apart many of my papers, but in the end he has helped me to revise them and get A's. He can often come off as 'uppity' and condescending but he's extremely nice one-on-one

Hey, I read all those comments, and I don't agree. I liked Professor Lizotte a lot. We even took several fascinating and helpful field trips as part of our writing course. What other professor does that? He opens doors to new interests for students.

Sometimes he can be really nice...but the other 90% of the time he acts like he is better than the rest of the world. If you have a different opinion than he does about a poem, or any literary work, you WILL get a bad grade. The only way to do well is to spit out everything he says directly back into the papers you write for him.

I would never, ever want to take a class with him again. He is the epitamy of evil. He is the worst professor I have had in this school. I really like Prof Lizotte. At first I didn't 'cause he got really into his readings and acted some of them out, kinda. But if you sit down to work with him he is a great Prof. He can be really cryptic, but so long as you smile and have done any of the readings you should be fine.
