Dr. Huynh is very nice and is very approachable. His teaching style is super organized and he has beautiful notes that he posts online. You know exactly what to expect from him and he even gives practice exams that help a lot. There are no surprises in this class. Homework can be tough however.

Prof. Huynh's classes are fun. The homework assignments are tough but the exams are very easy if you know your material. His lecture notes are awesome and very important for the exams.

He wants you to follow his lecture notes strictly - but to understand the notes after class - you need the book. He loves the subject and does not leave the class till you are 10 mins beyond lecture time. Easy grader though. TA will grade all answers right even if they are wrong - so you can easily score in assignments.

This professor has a strong interest in algorithm and his assignments are designed on purpose. This course is a litle bit difficult but if you have read CLRS before, it would not be too difficult. His exams are okay.

A wonderful professor. Posts notes, is excited about material, receives questions well, is a pleasant person, and doesn't use grades as a weapon. As to his accent, I didn't find it impregnable. Would take for any CS class.

Notes are good, assignments are graded by TA, so can score easily. Exams aren't very easy. Classes are very boring. He doesnt accept answers and definitions from text. He only wants answers from his material. Though he clarifies our doubts, its hard to follow him.

Took Intro.to Algos under him. Very good teaching.. very good notes(all taken frm book though) assignments will be tough but graded by TA so expect good grades. But exam graded by Prof n is difficult 2 score

Extremely organized. To be expected from the department head. Automata Theory is the only class he teaches, and at this time he's the only instructor. Read the notes and you can't go wrong - they are wonderful. Tests are straightforward.

I have to say Dr. Huyhn was one of the best teachers that I have had, if simply because he took a hard topic (automata theory) and made it understandable. His tests are fairly easy, as long as you understand the solution to every homework problem well.

A tough class and tough material, but Dr. Huynh teaches at a comfortable pace and gives EASY tests. Just keep up with the material in the class and study his old exams.
