He is an amazing teacher to take for Spanish 101. I was so worried about taking Spanish class in college because I failed Spanish in high school. However, Mr. McDaniel understands its a new language you may not be familiar with. He walks you through it and he does his best to help you understand. This class went WAY better than I expected!

One of the best professors here. I'd pick him for every spanish class if I could. Makes learning the language easy and fun. Not a lot of homework & it isn't hard. He makes class fun, even though attendance is mandatory, you'll want to come. You have to talk a lot, & even though I dont like to talk, I enjoyed this class. Tests arent hard if you hw

He was so nice and caring. He genuinely wants to teach you Spanish. He is so willing to help you one on one. He assigned a lot of connect activities but his tests are so easy if you pay attention.

Dr. McDaniel may come off at first as overbearing and over-the-top, but you'll soon realize his only priorities are making sure his students pass and have fun while doing so. He makes Spanish a performance and a very enjoyable one at that. I looked forward to going to class every day, and you can tell that he does too.

Dr. McDaniel's class was a COMPLETE BLAST!! I loved going every day. He made it incredibly easy to learn the language as long as you were willing to participate and put work in. He requires a LOT of work (on Connect and in class), but if you listen and attend class every day, this will be your easiest class. Participation is a MUST!

Awesome professor. Yes he calls you out in class if you make a mistake, but this is to just help you learn & he does it to everybody so it's really not embarrassing (he's not mean about it, he just wants to correct your mistake) & this is coming from a shy person who hates talking in class. I reccomend him, i'm really learning a lot in his class

Love Dr. Mcdaniel! He's funny energetic and definitely wakes me up at 905..he will call you out on your mistakes but if you listen and follow instructions its a piece of cake. Spanish is difficult for me but for a 101 class he definitely makes sure you're ready to go for 102..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Prof. Mcdaniel was a very good professor. Funny, clear, and interested in his students. Strict policy for attendance (-2% for every absence after the 3rd). You use your textbook every day, he goes over what will be on the exam. His tests arent too hard if you do the workbook. Basically, go to class and study.

I had no interest in taking SPAN 101, but it is required for my major. However, I went into the class with an open-mind. He would embarass students for not knowing answers and made me feel really uncomfortable to speak. If you are not familiar with the language already, then I would advise taking a different professor for 101.

Ok so at first I really thought that McDaniel was goint go be an easy A, but I was wrong. He comes off as really nice, funny, and outgoing, and seems to be very interested in his students. He does however, grade harder than he seems to let on. STUDY STUDY STUDY to do well!

He helps to make a boring topic more interesting. A good professor but expects A LOT of out his students. Random in class quizzes with only 2 exams (midterm/final) that are both bluebook. Homework everynight and 1 group and individual presentation. Grades very fairly and is very respectable. Very nice guy and worth taking, just be prepared
