He's actually a horrible teacher. Makes you write down paragraphs of things that have nothing to do with the material, and goes VERY fast, giving the students 0 time to process the information. Basically the class was the high speed snapchat filter and I wanted to put my head through the wall every time he walked in. Also doesn't care abt students

This professor was the worst i have ever had. Calculus 1 contains very hard material and he wont give you the time of day if you don't understand. He will just repeatedly tell you to practice, but its hard to do so if i dont know what im doing! He's just one of those professors that is too smart for their own good.

For the first time since elementary school this professor has achieved getting me to enjoy math class. I was previously sure that I sucked at math, but now I knw that I just needed a better and more creative teacher. Professor Schwartz has inspired me to try harder and to have confidince in myself. I am a transferred math major, so I've only taken a higher elective with him, and I'd imagine he'd score higher for those in my position than those taking the basics with him. He's fast-paced and slightly prickly, but very knowledgable, and if you know what you're doing and you're not really particularly looking to make friends with the staff, you should be OK.
