Dr. Bernat was both my advisor and my professor, and she's a super great person. The first half of the class is getting used to college life. She teaches mostly public speaking in the second half of the semester, and that sucks. You have 3 speeches, 1 solo and 2 in groups, which is horrible if you have lazy partners. Choose wisely.

LOVE HER. Her sense of humor is odd at first, but once you get used to her you will like her. Required to go to campus events which seems like a pain at first but really isn't difficult. Have a few speeches but is very understanding with grading. As long as you do the readings and the work you will do great. She is very helpful and really cares.

Shes a good professor, very clear. You have 3 speeches, one mini speech, then two 30 minute group speeches, sounds scary but its not. very easy a if you try!

She is amazing at helping us understand the theory no matter how complex or simple it is. She is even trying to help out 'bad test takers' by looking into why they're scoring poorly so that she can help them correct their studying methods. AMAZING PROFESSOR!

I can not explain how much this teacher has effected my life. She turned me around and motivated me to become the successful person i am today. Everyone should get to know her and see what an amazing person she is. I am a recent graduate and miss her but still keep in touch with her. She made me appreciate and enjoy each class i had with her.

I would say the best professor I have encountered in my college history. She knows her stuff, has a passion for what she is teaching. She REALLY cares about the students, she is not an easy professor, she makes you work, is more then willing to help if you need it to help you suceed. Totally prepares you for "real life" One of the nicest caring people I have met.

This is one prof everyone should have to meet.This lady is amazing and its rare to find a professor who cares so much about her students doing well.
