Elvio is a legend. He's approachable, fascinating, inspiring, and gets along with people of all ages. He's someone you want to keep in touch with after the class. Ours was a field trip class, so it was a bit unconventional in lecture and grading. He can have conversations about everything from socialist democracies to folk art. Take his class!

LOVE him! He's really a great professor, and is really into what he teaches. Has hilarious stories. I got a B, and I was a little bummed since he was my only B but hey, his tests are tough. Study the books because they come from there. Still a great class!!!

Quizzes every week based on the reading (articles + 3rd bk). The main textbook was never really used, so not much was learned. Attendance counts. Exams were pretty simple based on the quizzes. Gives study guide.Class overall is simple, but KINDA time consuming when it comes to the reading. Read and you'll get the A. Extra credit is also given.

this teacher is really cool and knows a lot about what he is teaching. he is kinda boring and has a monotoned voice :(. there is quite a lot of reading in his class and there is a quiz every week which aren't that hard. he doesnt have any finals or midterms just tests on each section which are kind of hard. nonetheless.. it's a good class

Awesome teacher. I went on the southwest trip with him. He is very smart and quite memorable from my college years. you won't be sorry you took his class - if you want to learn. He even changed my grade from a C to a B after i pleaded my case in his office. Thats pretty amazing, right? He is very understanding. Take the field trips he offers!! *

There is a lot of reading so beware. His quizzes are MC/TF and the tests are MC/TF plus short answer. They're not difficult, but it's hard to get an A. He offers a little extra credit, but not enough. Not a bad teacher, but the classes themselves are boring because he only quizzes the readings. The tests have his lectures in them. (I got a B)

This class could've been a little more interesting. Don't get me wrong, the reading was great, but sometimes I caught myself a little dazed and confused in class during lectures. Overall, I enjoyed it.

You will get weekly quizzes. Test for each unit. 2 kind of readings from the book and the book he made. The class is pretty ok if you at least try to read the material and study. 60%-79% is a C for his class. So there is no way you can fail unless you aren't good in reading. Great professor. A actual anthropologist right here. Go trips for ECredit

he makes u do a lot of reading and the exams and quizzes are based on them and videos. the way he teaches is not very helpful, doesn't make it course interesting and i had a hard problem memorizing so many small details from reading the articles. if u're not good at self-study, don't take his class.

Not an easy A. You have to read all the articles to pass the weekly quizzes, because his lectures had absolutely nothing to do with them. He's a kind man, but not very interesting to learn from.

The class was a little hard for me. There were a lots of reading materials given by Angeloni, that I found interesting but hated reading. I think that angeloni is a good teacher, but you need to work to earn good grades
