Comment:

Lectures consist of his notes he's condensed from the book but he goes a mile a minute and doesn't give you time to write down the notes. And if you are taking notes, he gets mad when nobody is participating. He makes comments on how it shouldn't take us this long, etc. His version of funny seems to be talking down to us. Not a fan.

So I have sucked at math basically always. I'm talking near fail every time. So after being out of school for five years and placing in DEV math, I was super nervous but Kraus's lessons are SUPER clear as are his expectations. I was able to teach myself (online class) what I needed and finished with my FIRST EVER grade A in math. Take his class!

Not a fan of him. I took him online for a maths class. He was awful at responding to emails with questions regarding the problems I was having and was quite rude when he did reply. I guess he was on okay "teacher" for me but I taught myself most of the work because he and the book were no help at all.

Very good professor but you need to show up to pass. Watch videos if you don't understand because sometimes it's hard to understand with him. Very funny and a nice guy.

Kraus is a substantial math professor to take while on your way up through the chaotic world of mathematics. He refers to methods in the book but applies it in his own notes that can be a little confusing & unfamiliar at first. If you just keep trudging on through his class whilst turning in the physical & online homework on time you'll pass.

Comment:

Kraus is a cool guy and truly wants you to pass! The class by all means is not easy at all and you really need to try and pay attention and be in the class. As long as you participate and try in the class you'll at least past, his quizzes are only 5pts. and they are pretty much the same thing as his test which helps a lot!

If you are taking him for stats . Do not take him. Does not give examples and just reads his own lectures . Doesn't give you anything to look over and reads to fast to even take notes . Gives you a project and doesn't explain/talk about it at all.

There's no taking notes in this class. It's impossible!! He moves so fast and goes into his own world that no one else in the class understands. Make sure you don't ask questions because he won't answer them without making a scene in class as to why you don't understand something.

The best math professor I have ever had and one of the top 5 best educators of my whole life! Super funny and makes it really easy to understand. I wish I could take him for every math class for the rest of my time in college.

Professor Kraus was a perfect online instructor. He was very responsive to questions and was very specific on his requirements. There was no possible way to misunderstand his instructions and deadlines, unless you just didn't open your emails. He provided a very easy to read syllabus and sent weekly emails checking on progress.

Very clear in lectures. Wants all students to succeed. Lets you know exactly what to expect on the test. Didn't look at the textbook once. For some it may be helpful, but his lectures were more than enough for me. There is a ton of mymathlab homework & quizzes in this course, but that's from the department, not professor. Overall awesome professor

Good teacher, but not great. I learn best by seeing examples and his lectures only presented concepts. Quizzes about every week and paper HW must be turned in. Most of the grade is based on the tests and there is no extra credit. MML is not required, but necessary to be able to do well on the tests. Not a bad teacher at all, just not the best.

Prof. Kraus is a great math teacher. I learned more from him during the semester than I had for 5 years before. He makes sure students understand the important information and don't focus too much on things they will not use- he does still go over those things, but he emphasizes the really important concepts in his lectures.

Professor Kraus is great! I took two online DEV math courses with him and really enjoyed it. He sent weekly updates, replied to emails very quickly, and was incredibly helpful with any questions one may have. He even saved my final grade by allowing to take the online final after I was unable to take it on campus, he even extended the deadline!

He kept an open line of communication and did weekly updates. He was very understanding if you had something come up and needed a little extra time. You must do the work in this class! If you follow the syllabus you will do great. Awesome professor! I took 2 classes with him and did very well.

Really fun class. He kinda made fun of some people but he made fun of himself. Definitely made it an easy class to take.
