Don't mess around on this guy. I got a C+ in his Physics 1 course and I tried by hardest. It was my first exposure to physics. I managed to get a B+ in his Statics Course. Even though I did poorly in Physics 1 I studied classical mechanics through the University Physics book, Walter Lewins MIT lectures, and all the Notes from Camerota's Class.

He is HARD. It is hard to keep up with him. He does some theory with lots of examples. his 1st test is typicaly the hardest. But if you do your H.W. and EXTRA problems-so you can do the problems in your sleep you will be fine. Above all, BE AT ALL CLASSES. He factors into his grading your ablity to folow the material in class and and answer Questio

I took Camerota's class over the summer and I was really afraid it would be too much work. He's a great professor who is very clear as long as you keep him oriented. He gives no book assignments, and the only homework he gave was lab write-ups. He would also specify everything he did/did not want on the lab write-ups. The class was super easy!!

The examples in class are more complex than the exam problems. He doesn't assign homework so if you don't do practice on your own you will struggle. He is very helpful and doesn't mind answering questions.

Yes he is smart, but everyone struggled with him. Goes extremely fast in class and doesn't take time for you to catch up. Doesn't assign any homework which leaves the student even more confused not knowing how to study and what problems to focus on. Tests contain 4 problems with one of them being extremely hard, gives partial credit if you try tho

Very easy to learn from. Writes very fast and doesn't wait for you to catch up. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss class you miss 10-15 pages worth of material in the textbook. He gives very fair tests. Every class at OCC is easier than at a 4 year school, but his classes are right on par. Tough courses, but they will prepare you greatly.

Doesn't put up with the kids crap, he reminds me of a Drill Sergeant i once had. He is a great teacher and very fair. It's total "big boy rules" in his classes. He accepts late work but expects you to take responsibility for your self. If you miss class it's on you to figure out what was assigned. One of the best teachers I've ever had!

He has an abnormal way of clearing his throat... he doesn't... he starts talking louder and louder. Good teacher but I never understood why he screams so much in random parts of his lecture. "While working on this problem it would be a GREAT TIME TO USE YOUR CALCULATOR!!!" You'll see what I mean. haha

He is crazy smart and so into what he is doing. His notes can be messy and he does go a little quick, but he will always take time to explain if you ask, and he is very helpful if you go to his office. He makes to go through everything on the tests, there are never surprises. Great professor, fun class. Definitely recommend him.

I had Camerota for Statics, Dynamics, and Mechanics of Materials. He will cover a lot of information and assign a lot of homework so be prepared to put work into becoming an engineer. His grading is more than fair as he allows substantial partial credit Most of the concepts were taught well, and I had to refer to the textbook only a few times.

This guy knows his stuff and he's not easy but he does allow for partial credit and is very clear about what he expects you todo and learn.Homework from the book every week, weekly torture quizes (lol) and tough exams. Also had him for lab for physics and you really knew how to write a good labreport after his class.

Seems like a very smart guy. Does not assign homework or give direction in any way. Offers little to no help. The only thing he does do is write notes on the board as he spits out physics concepts that are calculus based. If you have trouble figure it out on your own. read the book. He is brutal. The worst teacher I have ever had.

Very good teacher... He is an easy to understand teacher, very good at explaining the concept and can DEFINITELY keep you awake... However, you may want to sit closer to the front as his hand writing is the only thing difficult about him

Clear, concise, focused. Great lecturer. Fast as a bullet; small print on the board => note-taking hard, which few students even try to do, especially those in the back. Doesn't assign homework; does a moderate # of problems in class. Students aren't giving feedback on their needs => he teaches as we are all advanced => (hard)^3 if you aren't.

Great Professor!Very helpful. Writes a little fast but will stop and explain if you ask him to. Very clear and English speaking. The class itself is a little hard but I recommend it with Cam. I took the recitation with Zanetti and had a hard time following. I read the book but his problems aren't as difficult. Labs should be easy credit!

His first lab is terribly hard and he dosn't expain it too well. You will probably fail your first lab or come close. But after that the labs are easier, and eventually you can get a perfect score on without much work. Out of 20 my grades have been: 10, 19, 16, 20, 20, 20, 20 and he drops the lowest grade so it's not bad by grades.

Professor Camerota is a great PHY-ENS professor. He explains physics/engineering concepts well. His tests/quizzes are really challenging. Professor Camerota rasies his voice, when he is trying to point out material that is important! I recommend students to take classes with him, if you are a ENS major. When you leave his class, you will know!
