I really enjoyed her class, and she was one of my favorite professors. Everything she taught was backed up with solid research, so I don't know what the complaints are about. Was it not politically correct or something? I learned a great deal more about gifted children, which I'll use in my profession. Though now retired, she deserves accolades.

Do not take her class. If you have opinions that differ, she will not like you and will not give good grades on random assignments. She obviously cannot handle people with opinions. Also, she is pompous and difficult to deal with.

This class was boring to the point of falling asleep on a regular basis in class. I hated it as I really enjoyed EDPSYCH 290 and learned a lot. EDPSYCH 390 with Dixon relied completely on over head transparencies and a few powerpoints. It was painfully boring.

I am walking out with my MA in Secondary Ed on May 6 with a 4.0!!! I've taken a variety of classes from Mrs. Dr. Dixon & she is tough, BUT, if you spew her fav-o-rite pedagogy back & are a CONCISE AND CAREFUL WRITER & FOLLOW APA TO THE LETTER, you'll be OK. She was a bit slow getting some of our papers back to us, though...
