Why do people who give him good feedback keep getting "unhappy" faces? Anyway, I found this professor to be extremely nice and personable outside of class, and goes out of his way to help students if they ask!

Wow - I am basically paying $3,500 to have this man pre-assign people to "converse" with during class, only to ask them to read various rules out loud, verbatim, from the text. This class is unbelivably painful to sit through. JMLS needs to hire someone who can actually TEACH Prof. Resp. - this class is horrible.

Very helpful when providing students with the insight that lawyers are dropping like flies; the legal profession is actually losing lawyers every day, a silent drain of talent to banking, business and premature retirement. He warned us about the "law school by default" mentality and urged to reconsider if law school keeps our options open.

For someone who utterly lacks any teaching skill, he has amazing confidence (arrogance?) in his abilities. He was unable to explain why he graded the way he did, and couldn't offer any concrete suggestions.

The man has forgotten more about the law than most will ever know - and he's still sharp as a tack. Extremely personable and friendly. The approach used was not necessarily great, but was very low stress. Listen and learn.

That he has tried to find a third way between the socratic method and lecturing is admirable. However, he has failed completely. "It's my understanding" and "correct me if I'm wrong" that he will have you read straight from the text, ignore everything you have just said, and repeat it nearly verbatim from his own notes. His teaching is ineffective.

You will be lucky if you have a catheter up your ass when your that old, and this man is still takin time to teach us the law. And hes the only professor that met us all individually. Morrisey i hope you teach until your 100!!!

I second the suggestion that Morrissey retire. He's a great man with an open heart, but he has lost his talent for teaching. I took his class, actually paid attention to it, and ended up with a B. I failed the MPRE the first time I took it because I used his class materials to study. I bought the MPRE book and used that and passed the second time.
