i took him for gss 111. all he does is talk for 2 and a half hours barley writes notes on the board and expects you form your own notes. its almost impossible to stay awake the entire class he often strays off topic and starts telling stories that have nothing to do with the class. gives random pop quizzes.

Comment:

Professor is an excellent educator it is absolutely clear why the course is titled general science. His lectures will take through every element of the planet. he cares about students, he has a great sense of humor. He is one of the best professor I have had at NCC. My advice is: go to his class with an open mind and the will to learn.

I will say he's a good teacher but his work load is absolutely ridiculous. Gives out way too much homework and it rarely has to do with what you're learning in class, its almost as if he wants to keep you busy. he requires two textbooks but only get the taking sides book because the other one you'll never touch. he is an easy grader which is good

I took prof F because I read about him on ratemyprof. If you give science a chance without all the math, this is the class to take. A lot of work, but interesting as he takes you on a journey. Try it.

Frank Frisenda was an amazing teacher, He was suppose to teach us physics but he never really did. We would jump all over to different topics instead of just physics. His test are what he taught in class. His test are extremely easy and if you took physics in high school like I did you will pass for sure. Take this professor if you ever see him!

I hate science and math. I still hate math, but this guy teaches science with a story that makes sense. If you ever need a science class this is the ONE. Not easy, but interesting.

The class has a pretty heavy workload, but the material gets interesting after the first few weeks. He's helpful and understanding, but he doesn't put up with laziness or BS. It's not a class you can just glide through, but you can get an A if you actually try. The workload can be stressful, but you'll learn a few valuable lessons in that class.

He gives insane amount of homework just to keep us occupied. The assignments he gives us have nothing to do with the class. Tests don't relate to txtbk. He is always going off topic. Your screwed if he doesn't like you. You have to do EVERYTHING the way he says or youll fail. DO NOT TAKE LEARNING COMMUNITY!

Professor Frisenda is a wonderful teacher. He's enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and, unlike many professors, he has a very unique and interesting personal background that makes him more understanding as an individual than many people know.
