Awesome professor. Doesn't pretend that Greek is easy, but helps you get through difficult passages. Really intelligent, especially knowledgeable about Greek poetry. Definitely would recommend taking his seminar if you can.

Prof. Nisetich is an excellent teacher. If one pays attention while in class and not complain and ask pertinent questions, then you'll get much out of his courses. granted,he seema bit aloof, but what educated person is not? Even after almost 10 years after taking numerous courses, I still love the classics. Thanks Frank.

Professor Nisetich is AWESOME-- yeah he's a little eccentric, but if you like classics, you'll love him. He's extremely knowledgeable and tends to get sidetracked, but it's all really interesting. Easy tests, fair grader, great class.

He's best when teaching about the topics his books are on, i.e. Callimachus- it's absolutely amazing to hear him tell you about the Greek poets. He also knows a lot of Greek by heart and can recite you whole books :-)

no need to go to lecture he just tells you what happened in the book. read the books and youll be fine. grade is based on the midterm and the final only but they're so easy. missed 10+ classes (5 weeks) and got a b+.

Nisetich can be surpisingly funny, or just plain awkward. I haven't read a single book yet, just spark notes'd all the assignments and go to class most of the time, and i'm getting a B. Don't buy the textbook, it's a waste.

Boooooooooring, not a great teacher, does not explain grammar, tests are harder than they should be, you get called on to translate once every 2 weeks and are just sitting the rest of the time; you don't even have to do the hw every night. Knows his stuff though

Interesting speaker, if you can stay up all class. Loved his analysis of classical literature, really insightful stuff. He doesn't give much help on how to prepare for his tests, but he's a pretty good professor all around.

He is very passionate about his subject but not very interesting. Monotonous and extremely vague about what material to know. It takes a lot to sit in his 1.5 hour lectures. Exams aren't that hard but not the most interesting class.

Awesome teacher, knows his material forwards, backwards, sideways, up, down...be warry of asking questions, because he will go on 20 minute tangents that answer the question ..and alot more. Very monotone and boring speaker, but very interesting stuff.

Unbelievable boring, but then tosses in very awkward discussions about sex. Papers are short and exams are easy, but due to random attendance you must endure the monotony. Can't tell if he's full of himself or if he's just bad at being sarcastic.

Very knowledgable and enthuiastic about subject, however, extremely tough grader. It appears that he goes out of his way to confuse students. Read books that do not relate to subject matter, only on syllabus bc he wrote them!! Glad its over

A very good professor. Knows his stuff and is enthusiastic. Enjoys his work. At times is a tough grader and doesn't let you know much about his exams, if that bothers you. A good man. Worth taking.

He was very interesting in class, but his experiments with different test styles made it hard to know what to study for.
