Uses notecards to call on studentstake attendance. HW everyday. Vocab quizzes & exams, 1 oral for part of the final. Student asked a language question, asked him what it had to do with what we were learning during that class period. Seems nice, but hardly wrote things on the board. I'm a visual learner when it comes to Spanish. Wouldn't recommend.

She expects class participation from everyone. She is very sweet and will help you if you ask for it. She really cares about her students. Her tests are tough bc she cares. Attendance is a must or you may not get a good grade. You definitely need to put effort into the class outside of class hours. She expects a lot, but it's worth it in the end.

This class is basically homework review for the first half and lecture for the second half. There is homework every day which makes for good practice. The class is a lot of work and you will fall behind if you miss a class but she is one of the better Spanish teachers at the school.

I attempted previously with another professor so I was gun shy about trying it again. Prof Rascon is very knowledgeable and good at structuring topics so they are easier to understand. Attendance and lots of work is required but necessary for learning. She cared about my success and praised me when I did something well. Very much appreciated!

I liked this professor. I took two of her 8 week courses, and by the end of semester I am speaking Spanish. She does an amazing job for such fast pace. And i liked how detailed she is explaining grammar. She's pretty funny and interesting too. The only thing I would add to her classes is that she speaks less English, more Spanish.

Great teacher, If you really want to learn Spanish, take the two 8 week courses. She is a real top notch teacher. She could probably teach other subjects and still be one of the best. Take her class, do the work and you won't regret it.

She is a very caring teacher. She keeps class interesting and makes the effort to avoid monotony. She's super helpful and tailors her lessons to the needs of each individual class. Do show up to class! I find that each class has at least one nugget of great info that's not in the book, an 'aha moment' when you're struggling to understand a concept.

Professor Rascon is a great teacher. She gives a little homework every night and vocab/tests every two weeks. She's super helpful and willing to take the time to help if YOU care and want to learn. Def take her for Span101. I wish I would have taken the accelerated 101/102 8 week classes she teaches.

Such a nice lady, and her tests weren't too diffcult just a vocab quiz and a chapter test every two weeks. The class was so much fun that it was my favorite of the semester, if you study, try your best, show up to class, and don't have an attitude you will get a good grade. The fun of this class has made me want to minor in Spanish. Take her!

Very helpful. Really nice. If you need help she'l go out of her way to hlp you. Very understanding. Side tracks alot but she says its to clear our minds so we dont over load. I was in her 8week class & it was very fast paced but she was great at making sure everyone was at the same place.

She said someone once told her she taught like barney. Awesome, easy class. But, unfortunately, as easy as her classes are, they are very painful to sit through. I felt like I was learning my abc's which I guess I was but, I'm not 2. It's all the book, the in class exercises were a joke and I didn't feel like I learned as much as I should.

Unfortunately, she doesn't teach in class. She reviews what is in the (awful) book. Most teachers teach in class and then you review what you learned in the homework. Prof. Rascon assigns NEW MATERIAL via book homework, then reviews it the following day in class. Very unorthodox and difficult style of teaching. Beware-not recommended.

Great Teacher! Professor Rascon is the best. If you need extra help she is very accomodating. This was my first Spanish class and she made the language easy to grasp. Its a five unit class, so you might be in the class for more time, but you will learn a lot more too. Great teacher, great class. : )

She's an awesome teacher! Enthusiastic, always in a cheerful mood, and is very helpful to those who don't understand, without making them feel stupid. Just study and do the flippin work, like any other class, and you'll be fine.
