Gail is so fabulous! I took her class to fulfill a requirement and I'm so glad I did! I used to think I hated poetry, but she's made it really fun and engaging. She's also just a really cool woman, she's so funny and has bright pink hair! Cool!

At the time of the class I appreciated the laughably easy assignments, but 2 years later I wonder why I payed to be in this class where I learned abs nothing that enhanced my understanding of women's literature. Take for an easy A and if you want class to be cancelled every Friday. Lovely lady and talented in her own right, but I wanted a teacher.

A poem every week but classes seem to have gotten canceled more than the norm. She's passionate about what she does and expects you to bring a positive attitude to class. Don't leave early unless you tell her beforehand, that is a big pet peeve of hers. Participation is not mand. but just show you care. Easy A

I took Language of Poetry with Professor Wronsky, and she was amazing! I feel like I learned so much in her class and really developed as a poet as well. She made me fall in poetry!

I was excited to take Wronsky's class, but after 3 weeks, I was sick of only reading about poetry and writing free verse without actually learning HOW to write better. In-class criticisms were useless, reading journals were lame, and this class wasted my time. Nice lady - hated her class. Mandatory class for English majors, take it for an easy A.

A slightly better professor than her lunatic husband, Chuck Rosenthal; also an English professor at LMU. Much like her husband, however, she wears her super inflated ego on her sleeve and takes every opportunity to brag about her published works, rather than spending time helping students to cultivate their own. A waste of very expensive tuition.

Took her poetry class and didn't enjoy her teaching style at all. She's very critical of your work and always wants you to be original but doesn't really help you get there. She assumes that because she knows so much about poetry that you should know as much. I stopped liking poetry after this class.

She's pretty out there.. Syllabus at the beginning of the year does not include assignments/due dates. She gives out assignments for poems/papers the class before it's due. Expects participation and "risk-taking" in your poetry. Encourages thinking outside the box. But she's very nice, and I would take another class with her.

Gayle is very cool. She's laid back and entirely open to new things/ideas. I like her a lot. I would take her again but the particular class I was in was a bit demanding on time and stressed out the end of my senior year. However, I recomend her. I think people will find her refreshing.

Because of this woman, I still do not understand iambic pentameter and thusly have no patience for poetry of any kind. What's up with her pushing that damn "Cowgirl" book of hers? It sucked.
