I took Postwar Italian Cinema with him at CSI. It was the best film class I ever took, either grad or undergrad. Very thorough. Lot's of responses and online work. If you're lazy, then don't take him. If, on the other hand, you love film and want to evolve and develop your intellect, you can't do much better.

Professor Lombardi was the best professor I ever had. He Was helpful, clear, very intelligent and very funny.He made attending class fun and I can not wait to take class with him again. perfection. best professor you will ever get in your entire life. whoever has him should consider themselves lucky. definitely not an easy A, be prepared to work work work in his class. he's very european, italian accent ...trust me its a VERY good thing. he's really cool, super approachable, will go out of his way for you .. and kind of cute =)

One of the best professors in the school, one of my favorite teachers I have ever had, he makes the class fun and I actually looked forward to going to his class. DEFINATELY recommend! Learning a new language isn't easy but he takes the time to make sure each and every student understands. He's awesome!

Dont like his teaching style. It was cloudy. Though I got a fair grade, hes not very clear in what he teaches, but, we watched movies and tv shows and analyzed them so it really wasnt hard at all. How could it be? Easy grader, notices participation, and big on lateness. Follow those rules, and you will pass. Overall, he is a good professor.

I took Prof Lombardi's course in spring 07 and having been a remedial student in english I had some initial difficulty writing my one paper. Prof Lombardi was nice enough to pull me aside and provide me with his own personal time in helping me to develope an understanding of the curriculum. He was very helpful! I received an A in his class !

Course was great, instructor was capable, caring and competent. Contrary to what the person said in the reviews from 2/14 (don't you have anything better to do on Valentine's day?) I never saw him insult or belittle a student: this is clearly a case of sour grapes...and he does not deserve it!

Loved his class -- I still talk about it to my friends, because I learned a lot and had a great time. The course was full, and the great majority of the students seemed very pleased with him, so I don't know why some people criticize him so badly...he really cares for his students, and it shows.

Loved his course. I will never be able to watch TV the same way. I've been talking about it with all my friends at school, encouraging them to take it again. He's the best professor I've had at CSI. He's so patient with students. His tests were always very fair. As he always says in class, there are no surprises in his midterms and finals. Great gu
