I'm an econ major, so my view towards the class are through rose colored lenses. However, facts are facts, and the honest truth is if econ doesn't interest you, take something easier. The tests are difficult and concepts can be tough to grasp; I once got a 70% on a test and it was still the highest in the class. The grading curve helps, but still..

Professor Milner is a GREAT Professor!!! But in order to pass his class you also have to read the BOOK, the first couple of lectures do have to do with your quizzes that he does online.. Which are very easy. You also have to read the SG he get questions from there too.

I thought he was a great teacher until after the first test. It really is amazing how every single question on the test has nothing to do with what he taught all semester. The questions are worded entirely different and the formatting is something he didn't cover. He teaches the mere basics and expects you to figure out the big picture on your own.

He is a very good econ teacher. You have to attend class because a lot of test questions are from his lectures. If you want an A you have to read the chapters multiple times and really understand the subject. Tests are tough, but he does curve the grades.

Mr Milner is the best! His test are multiple choice and is very generous with the scores. You can do poorly and still pass with a C or even a B- with the extra credit. My only advice for those who want an A is to read the book and research outside of class. MR = MC

He sets questions in test from the chapters he has not covered. His teaching style is not so bad but He does not cover chapters and sets question which I hated most. His questions are super tough to answer. He selects the toughest questions for his test.He talks too much.He should cover all chapters rather than talking.I don't like him as a teacher.

Fabulous teacher....I took him back in 1985, and am happy to know he is still teaching!!! He turned me on to the WSJ, gave 3 extra credit points for all assignments stapled correctly, and said "If you remember anything from economics, remember that MR=MC. I still remember that 25 years later. He made econ interesting and fun.

I loved this class! You don't need to be a genius to get an A. He curves the tests, provides extra credit opportunities, and gives great lectures. Points are mainly based on tests, but also on take-home quizzes which are easy As. Use the book- it is very helpful. You will need to work hard, but it is possible to succeed!

Tests have 20 Qs so you have to get them all to get an 'A' in the class. Waste of my time b/c based on his grading system of 1,000 pts., I was 2 pts. away from an 'A' at the end of the semester. Of course, he gave me a 'B'. I get the rigid adherence to his 'system,' but after coming to every single class, he could have at least given me an 'A'

Milner is the greatest! He makes a difficult subject easy. You must have a good understanding of graphing if you expect to do good; The entire semester is nothing but graphs! You must attend class everyday and take good notes (use color pencils)and read the book thouroughly and study the MULTIPLE CHOICE study guide questions in order to get an 'A'.
