He is really just a great guy. He makes me laugh every swim class. He is rather quiet, but his facial expressions will get you. If you have an opportunity, you will absolutely love this class.

Dr Armstrong is definitely one of the better fitness and wellness teachers here. He's hilarious, I had him for 9:00 swim, which sucked, but as long as you show up, you can absolutely pass. The lecture is easy, he reads off of a PowerPoint, and occasionally you have to do a worksheet. He is definitely a stickler for attendence, go to class

I really liked Dr. Armstrong as a person and professor even though I absolutely HATED 8 am swim class (wouldn't ever recommend to anyone). He's very easygoing, funny, and the lecture part of the class is easy if you put in the work and come to class. He's a stickler for attendance. Would recommend him again- for any class that isn't swimming.

Nicest man you will ever meet. Very caring and understanding. I had him for swimming and would 10/10 take him again. Activity three times a week and lecture once a week. He doesn't want to be at lecture anymore than you do, so you get out early. Cannot miss more than two classes or he deducts 50 points. 98% in class; easy A.

Comment:

Hardest part of the course is walking to UFC to work out for 30 minutes from campus (I happened to be an on-campus freshman placed in a mainly-commuter class), the launchpads are simple, easy A, show up to lecture, he usually lets you out 10 minutes early and he's pretty easy going and uses real life examples in lecture. Exams are online!!

Weekly online work was super easy and in the once a week lecture he just tells you what you need to know from each chapter but doesn't really go through any of the material. So many opportunities for points I could get a 0 on the final and still have a 98% in the class. Takes attendance in different ways every class so you must attend.

He was one of my favorite professors this semester b/c he is super easy to talk to and he's a big goofball. However, You NEED to show up for class or else you will absolutely not pass, he takes 50 points off for every class you miss. The exams are a little iffy b/c of the time limit but they're pretty easy. I would definitely take him again.

As long as you show up for activity and participate, show up for lecture, and do the homework, it's an easy A. I actually became more fit after taking Dr. Armstrong and would take him again. Plus, he has a good sense of humor and sometimes lets you play a game called Swat Ball instead of running some days.

Super easy class. Weekly online quizzes & HW, 2 easy projects, and final is extra credit. He's very dry, and mumbles a lot though he does try to make the class interesting. PowerPoint's are useless for quizzes, try to get the physical book w/Connect to make them easier. HW is easy. Overall good prof to get for lec. Also, attendance is mandatory.

He is a good guy and does a fine job. Kinda boring. Youll want to use the book for the online quizzes. They can be hard, and reading the chapter helps. Don't rely on his powerpoints. HW is easy. Sadly, the department won't let him give extra credit after this year. He gave a lot of it. It's an easy class worth 1000 pts so you don't really need it.

Easy class, all you have to do is show up. We got 47 points of extra credit and i had a guaranteed 93 before taking the final. Get the actual textbook so you can use it during the online quizzes and this class is a piece of cake
