Comment:

She's by far the best professor at EMU. Her grading scale was clear. She has a quiz every day at the beginning of class. The quizzes are fairly easy and questions are given prior to the quiz being given. She has 4 exams and a final. She gives no extra credit. Just watch the lecture and take the notes she gives. Her test is never a surprise.

Dr. Lindsay is by far one of my favorite professors at Eastern. She did a flipped class and put her lectures online which made reviewing for exams so much easier! She is very accessible for her office hours, quick responses over email, and genuinely cares about her students. I highly recommend taking her for organic chemistry!!

Awesome professor, super clear, prepared, and helpful. Videos are straightforward and gives more complex questions in class but explains them well. Study the notes and practice problems and you'll ace the exams which are also straightforward. Textbook not used at all unless you want extra practice

Comment:

Orgo is always going to be hard, but she makes it as painless as possible. She used a revered classroom (watch lecture before class & do problems in groups in class), and all my friends said they wish their Orgo prof did this. Looking forward to Orgo II with her. I looked forward to coming to class. She's so nice and is passionate about teaching.

SHE IS GREAT. I took the flipped style class, and it was great. She is so helpful and no questions are stupid. She really focuses on you understanding each section, which is great and super helpful. 10/10 recommend taking her especially for organic chemistry.

A great prof, even for a summer course. Have had bad experiences with some Chem professors at EMU but Lindsay cares and gives plenty of study material and lecture material to prepare you. She is very organized, would highly recommend.

One of the nicest, most helpful professors ever. Dr Lindsay provides great lecture notes, practice exams, and is very caring and understanding. I went to her office hours all the time and she never made me feel stupid. She actually made orgo into an enjoyable subject for me and I hate chemistry!

She is very forgiving of students and understands that it is hard info. She is very good at helping students understand the info. She is nice, patient and supportive. However, she gives hard tests and homework. Going to lecture/reading the book is a must. Even with that, going to office hours is a must, but she doesn't give answers away easily.

Gives great notes and practice exams. HOWEVER, her real exams are hard and always contain trick questions no where to be found in booknotes. Take home quizzes even harder than exams. Barely gives partial credit. Grades unfairly. 50 minutes to take the same length exam you would take in a 1 hour 15 minute fall semester (never finished). DONT TAKE

This professor was awesome! She grades pretty hard (sometimes). She's super helpful and is available in her office regularly, throughout the week. She is clear to understand and is pretty friendly, and entertaining to a degree. I would take her again.

Really difficult class but AWESOME professor. She makes learning fun and exciting. I never left feeling overwhelmed. She makes difficult material easy to understand and gives lots of examples. In 4 years of college, Dr. Lindsay is the best teacher I've ever had. She structures her class to maximize student success; she provides notes to fill in class and teaches with you rather than at you. She's also so kind and always helpful in & out of class. She never seemed irritated by endless questions or office visits. Will miss her.

The exams were kind of trickey, but if you put in the effort and asked questions she was always available to help you understand. Definitely possible to get a B if you pay attention. NOTECARDS help alot for reactions. Attendance not mandatory but highly recommended. GREAT TEACHER, KNOWS HER STUFF.

i dont know what these other people are talking about. yes she is organized but she is unsympathetic and will not let you redo an assignment ever. Her exams are incredibly hard and very different from the in class examples and if you ask her a question she says lets think about this and waits until you think of the answer youself

this is a hard class. Professor Lindsay is super organized and incredibly helpful. I learned more in this class than any other class I've ever had. I wish she was teaching 372 next semester. Tests are hard and no joke! Professor Lindsay is hilarious though!!
