2 papers. 3 "quizzes" but really they are tests he just calls them quizzes. open note tests&drops the lowest. one presentation towards the end of the semester which can be in a group or by yourself. attendance matters as participation points, he calls roll. didn't buy the book but its available at the library if needed. very sweet w/ corny jokes.

Overall he was an okay professor. His tests did not really match his lectures so reading the book is a must if you want to pass. The one nice thing is that all of the tests are open note and book. He also passes out candy if you answer questions, but personally I would not take him again.

This class is open book/notes which is helpful and I like that we do hw on paper instead of online. He's very funny/silly at times during lectures. If you have questions he will help you and is very straight forward. Do not be on your phone and do not be late because he will call you out lol. Do extra credit!!!

Fink Loves to make jokes, which is a problem. Most of the time goes of topic, and lectures are too fast. He is not as easy as everybody claims. He tells us to buy the book, however we barely even use it. Most of his material is just about him, rather than following the book. Do yourself a favor, and take someone else.

Very easy course! You just need to pay attention to his lectures and you will completely understand the concepts. I had over a 100% in the class and I did not study outside of class. Everything is open book/open notes! Get ready to hear some corny jokes in class.

He's pretty clear in lecture and teaches concepts in a way that actually helps you understand things. The tests are all open book/notes but they are based on application instead of just plugging numbers into formulas, so you actually have to have a good grasp of things. And you get candy for participating.

Amazing professor I highly recommend. It's a very chill class and his lectures are slow and easy to understand. This class was a breeze for me. Quizzes are open notes.

Just take him. Trust me, i don't want to sit here and type of the dozens of reasons as to why you should take him because that will take too long. He's amazing at teaching, goes step by step and never skips anything, and he's such a well rounded human being. TAKE HIM

I've never been good at math and have put off taking Stats as long as possible, but it was a breeze with Fink! He's patient, goes slow, shows everything step by step, uses real life examples to help make sense of all the numbers/symbols, and always willing to answer questions without judgement. To top it off, he's laid back, silly, & full of jokes!

Class is NOT easy but if you need extra help, prof. Fink will help. Sweet prof who will take time to explain things again if U need it. Take advantage of tutoring lab & office hrs. 3 exams (25 Qs each) and 1 cumulative final (60 Qs). Drops lowest grade from 1st 3 exams. Tests R open book but it doesnt mean anything if U havent studied or reviewed

This is the first class I have ever worked hard for. It's not easy, but you will learn a lot. He's a funny teacher who understands sarcasm. Make sure to show up every day with a calculator ready. Participation really matters. He recognizes when students show effort to pass. Have a good laugh and work hard. You will do just fine! Take this class!

If you don't like simple jokes during lessons or a great teacher - don't take him! Professor Fink is excellent in what he does, definitely a great professor to take! Highly recommend, I never thought I'd enjoy statistics as much as I did in his class.

Fink is a quirky, amazing teacher. His jokes had me laughing all through class and his explanations are perfect. His tests are open notes and his online hw is easy if you follow the notes from class. I wish I needed more Fink!

Does not teach the material, you have to teach yourself. Most of the class is spent on him making corny jokes or talking about his band. Easy grader. Tests are open notes. Show up to class because he does not go by his syllabus so you will miss deadlines for papers. Would try a different professor next time or take it online
