Comment:
At first I thought Williams was too lefty, but with hindsight she wasn't so bad. Very broad knowledge of Latin American history and current events. Super-easy. If you participate in class and go to office hours, she's cool with disagreement (something that some students don't realize). Not recommended if you're conservative.

Seminar-style class. I learned a lot. Sometimes the reading was heavy, but we also watched films, which was great. This will be helpful when I go abroad to study.

I didn't know anything about the politics of water before I took this class, but now I want to study this topic in depth. Highly recommended.

I loved this class! LOTS of reading, but well worth it. I tended to do the work for this class before all my others. Great classroom conversations. Prof lets students think for themselves.

She's really smart and really likes teaching, and she's a pretty fair grader.

Smart, funny, committed to teaching. Lots of reading, but worth the work. Left of center but tolerant of wide range of opinions

A bit wordy, but very interested in Latin America. The classes were interesting. She was always eager to hear from students. Also quick to admit when something wasn't her specialty, which could be good or bad. Nice lady, very encouraging.

Very likeable prof. Sometimes seems disorganized, but is definitely VERY enthusiastic about subject matter.

Readings can be biased towards the liberal end, and you're not really held accountable for them. Easy grader. Lectures generally interesting.
