This is going to be your typical Finite Math class. This class should be a review of algebra with some added content in the class. You'll need to go to class if you expect an "A". You'll need to work for it (like any math class), but this professor will strive for your growth. Zhang wants you to do well! Great professor as a 1st semester student.

It is very tough. She is hard to understand at times. You need to get ahead on your homework and knowledge of calculus because the quizzes often times come before the lecture/homework about that section. If you can take someone else DO IT!

Professor Zhang cares about your success in her class, ask questions. If you put in the time you will have no issue getting an A. The quizzes come at you fast, you're quizzed on topics before the homework for said topic is due so you need to get ahead. She gives review problems for exams, do all of them because every exam problem is in the review.

As if calculus wasn't hard enough to learn with people teaching in proper English, she takes it to a whole new level. It is very hard to understand her at times. The examples in class do not look like anything on the quizzes or exams. If you don't have a good background in calculus already, DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HER! Smart lady, bad teacher.

Hong Zhang is straight up an awful teacher, in my opinion. I am not generally good at math; got B's and C's in Trig and Calc in high school and she is the worst possible teacher to have if you are like me. You can barely understand her and she makes everything seem so much harder than it should be. She's extremely nice, just not good teaching math

One of the nicest professors ever. Moved two test dates for my friend and I because we had stats 401 test and 376 test back to back on the same day. That made it much easier to study. Overall it is a hard class that I had no interest in but learned something at the end. Thank You Hong!!!!

Not friendly. If you go in to ask questions she is rude and unhelpful. Don't bother emailing her because she won't email back. Worst grade I've received in a math class... And I'm a math major. 10 people dropped within second week of class.

Very hard to learn from. Quizzes, examples and exams are all very different. I hope you enjoy teaching yourself. If you ask her a question she answers in riddles. On the bright side she runs around the room and often runs into the projector. Entertaining but terrible at explaining concepts.

She is impossible to understand. Her accent is very difficult and if you visit her outside of class she won't attempt to help you. Luckily I took her for an easy class and got by with a tutor. Getting a tutor for her is necessary.

One of my worst professors yet! She does not help you at all and takes notes way too fast. Her teaching methods are horrible. Her practice exams are sort of like the real exams but then she throws in problems you barely even learned in class. I would NEVER EVER take her again. She also doesn't care if you pass or fail...goodluck!

She's super easy. She writes everything on the board and you just have to copy it down. You get 10pt quizzes once a week which suck but are easy if you do your homework. She basically gives you the exam questions on the practice exam and just changes the numbers on the real exam. Super easy. Get a book.

Worst professor I've ever had. She doesn't speak much english at all, and instead of teaching she just writes on the board and talks to herself. Talks really fast and is impossible to follow. If you take her class, you most likely will only be able to learn by teaching yourself the material.

Talks to fast and i couldn't understand a word she was saying. she repeats useless information a lot and uses questions on the exams that aren't on the practice exams she gives out. uses book examples and doesn't give partial credit. i would never take this teacher again
