He has admitted to checking his ratemyprofessor scores, and joked about submitting positive ones himself. Take positive reviews with a grain of salt because this man cannot be trusted. He sexually harasses his students, consistently makes inappropriate jokes to the females in the class, talks poorly about other teachers he works with. Worst ever

Pr Gensler is the type of person that you can't take too serious, although he knows what he is talking about. His lectures are around jokes, and if you don't take them personally, you will be fine. His paper is the most important thing, so take a few days to work on it. Go to this office hours, ask about the paper and you will be fine!

Hilarious teacher, jokes around with/about students and puts you in your place; don't take anything personal. He's super funny if you can realize he's always joking. Gave us a pop quiz every day but very basic algebra/economics. One paper, he wants EVERY sentence cited. Tests(online) and Final(class) is open-book. Do that, show up to class; easy A.

Instead of midterms, there is a quiz at the beginning of every class. The quizzes are just easy memorization. There are also weekly online multiple choice tests about the textbook. The majority of the work in the this class is done on the research paper. His grading standards are low. Extra credit is given liberally. He is the Don Rickles of AMGOV

My man Howard Gensler was amazing. show up and joke around with him while learning the material. He is very understanding with things and is an easy grader as long as you follow the directions. Would take class again anytime.

Sometimes you just don't know how excellent a professor is until the end of the semester. Professor Gensler is tough, but he is FAIR beyond belief. It took a while to realize that but what I know is Professor Gensler grades you on your knowledge and that is revolutionary in education. Sent him many emails, always responded. Great Professor.

Every class was a fun surprise because he's very entertaining. He knows how to hold your attention during lectures by mixing in fun stories, but he is also very clear with the material. All of the exams are done online except for the final! Ask him about his youtube channel, trust me.

Prof. Gensler is one of the best professors I've ever taken. His grading is clear and he wants you to get an A. All you need to do is follow the rules. Go regularly. He wants his students to pay attention in his class and wants his students to be regular. He has a lot of extra credit. If you can be regular and take good notes you can get an easy A.

This professor expects you to put in the time and effort you would into an in-class setting. You will honestly take a lot from this course if you choose to, and your grade will reflect it. Follow the syllabus VERBATIM and you will be successful; if not, you won't. Honestly, not too bad if you are competent enough to follow simple directions.

This professor is not for the faint of heart; He won't provide you a golden ticket to do nothing and earn an "A". You are expected to conduct yourself like an actual college student, and you will learn much if you actually try. By far one of the best professors in the business, as he won't put up with any ridiculousness. Hilarious and entertaining!

My experience with this professor was disturbing. He spoke from his cuff most of the time about irrelevant topics and was incredibly hard to decipher what things to take notes on. Students did not feel comfortable raising their hands because if he did not approve he would tell them to shut-up and call them "tard-lets" insulting their intelligence.

Professor Gensler is unique compared to what most entitled kids are used to when first entering college. He doesn't supply a silver spoon or nipple for each student, rather he treats everyone like an adult. And from reading the reviews you can easily tell some don't want to grow up. They want to be nurtured until they are 50. Class is awesome.

Took his micro class a few semesters back. The class itself is pretty easy. Project is a bit of work but pretty typical for a project at a 4-year university so it's good practice for that. Attendance is MANDATORY. I got A's on the tests and a B on the project but received an F in the class because I skipped too many sessions. DO NOT SKIP HIS CLASS!

OMG! So much homework in his class. Took PS1 online and seriously? The most homework I have ever seen. The worst was that he requires several two-page handwritten essays that must be transcribed word for word, scanned or captured and then converted into a PDF.

Amazing professor, he is definitely very bold and has very interesting ideas about the economics of our country. This might turn a few people off, but to me this made the class very interesting. He cares about he students and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking one of his classes.

Took both his Econ classes online. His textbook, which you are forced to buy, is absolutely littered with errors. Hard to follow due to the amount of errors. Tests/Midterms also have many errors . Does not provide correct answers to text problems. Very intolerant and short in emails, refuses to offer any explanation. Ridiculous class rules test..

Honestly he probably gets a bad rep because he's a pretty intense person. Right off the bat he seems like a non lenient kind of person and doesn't care. But he was super helpful and knows what he's talking about. He reopened tests a few times and told you what you'd get on the paper and let you change it. No homework and only one research paper.
