Dr. Munro wasn't exactly my favorite teacher at Jewell. But since I graduated I appreciate the fact that he was a lot more demanding and picky on detail than most of my profs.

Dr. Munro was the best professor I ever had. Yes he was hard if you were not an English major, but if you were, you could take any English class and pass after his. He inspired me to continue my work into Comparative and Post-Colonial Literature, and he is absolutely brilliant. I am very sorry that he retired, and will always remember him.

Dr Monroe was a great teacher. I had him for african cultures and I thought that he was very knowledgeable on the subject based on his personal experience. I would suggest this class. Quizzes over the reading, you must do the reading and you mus attend class in order to pass the tests.

Do not take his class. He can be a pushover, but when he wants to be he can also be an ass. Likes to hear himself talk without making a point. Waste of time.
