Class wasn't too bad. Really easy grader, just kind of checked off any sentences we wrote on tests. The most important thing is getting her to like you--if you can manage that, you will get a good grade. Lots of niggling busy work, but if you only need to fulfill your language requirement, take her.

Not a bad prof, but isn't totally clear in her explanations of grammar. Sometimes cuts students off while they're thinking about what to say. Tests are moderate, but she doesn't grade hard.

I love her... the class is fairly easy. She's a really nice lady and genuinely cares about her students. She does a lot of group activities. She'll assign hw but doesnt check it. Do it or you'll fall behind very fast. also, go to her if you need help. dont wait til the last minute.

Easy class for me. Takes attendance, so show up. Lots of group work kind of helps the class go by quicker and makes the atmosphere more fun. Kind of have to teach yourself a lot, and definitely easier if you have previous language experience. Tests and exams generally easy grades tho.

she's a peice of work, and brings her personal life (and problems) into the class room. you have to prove yourself to her in order for her to even take notice of you. stay out of her way... she's not very helpful and you have to really want to learn the language.

You really will not get anything done or learned in this class. I really wanted to learn spanish before being her student, but she's incredibly unhelpful and spacey. If you don't miss any classes what so ever you can do well, but you wont learn anything. This professor is horrible.

I was disappointed in this class. She is a very nice person and is definitely approachable, but my language skills did not improve. We spent a LOT of time learning how to write a paper - which doesn't change just because the language changes!

Very easy class! She speaks in Spanglish. You write a few 2 page double-spaced papers and review grammar and writing techniques. when she collects workbook pages, she seems to check them for only completeness, not correctness! easy class, though didn't improve my spanish! take it for your GPA!

awful class. she speaks in spanglish. Lovely, sweet woman- seems like arbitrary grading, though, and a basically uninteresting class. Way more composition- which almost no one needs, we know how to write a thesis- than grammar, which we all need. yuck, boring, easy, spanglish. But she seems nice.

WONDERFUL professor, if you do the work and pay attention you will fly by. If you skip class and don´t to the readings you won´t. READ. She can teach you so much if you are willing to learn, one of the few professors in the Hispanic Studies department that has a clue about what she´s doing.

I was afraid the class was going to be a lot of work at first and that I wouldn't be able to handle it, but it's turned out to be my easiest class. She's a really sweet woman, the class topics are interesting, and she grades super easy. If you want a GPA booster, this is it.

She's not that difficult- I have an A in the class without trying. There is a substantial amount of work, but I have more most other classes. I was bored at first because I already speak well and I thought it was too easy, but a lot of it depends on whether you pay attention and actually try.

She's a bit lazy and seems to like guys better than girls for some reason. Not hard to get a B or C, but you won't learn anything which doesn't help at all in 201 and 202. He final is always the easiest test because she doesn't feel like grading it.

Talks down to students, is moody. Once you are on her bad list, you stay on it. I missed too many classes in the beginning, but get all A's in the class, and have been more consistent with my attendance...she still doesn't like me.
